Schwarzenegger has promised a marathon
recovery effort -

The blazes have destroyed about
18-hundred homes-
the cost put at more than one billon
dollars.
While most of the fires have been
contained the fight is far from over.
3000 residents from the town of
Julian have been ordered to evacuate
because of rapidly approaching fire.
Authorities still believe two of
the fires were intentionally set
A 285-thousand-dollar reward is
being offered for information leading
to a conviction.

his fate this morning for his part in
the death of one of his models.

Judge Joey Showalter upheld a
jury's sentence of 32 and a half years
in prison- for Bob Shell.
In August, Shell was found guilty
of involuntary manslaughter, along with
7 other drug and sex crimes.
The convictions stem from the
2003 death of his 19 year old
girlfriend and model, Marion Franklin.
She died from a morphine overdose
in Shell's studio, after a photo shoot.
Shell is appealing the
conviction.

their husbands have been indicted on
more than 60 counts- after allegedly
misuing travel vouchers.
State police say Danville city
treasurer Lynda McDowell is charged
with 31 felony counts including
embezzlement and grand larceny.
McDowell's assistant Donna
Johnson is also facing similar charges.
Authorities say the indictments
stem from an investigation into misuse
of travel vouchers.

an explosion this morning.

Emergency crews took them to the
hospital.
Mary is in good condition.

days have been incredible. Between 5
and 9 inches of rain have fallen, with
little flooding taking place. This
shows just how dry it has been. The low
spinning across the plains will get
picked up by the jet stream and pulled
into New England. On its way, it will
push a front through that will clear

Saturday morning. We'll still contend

pink to raise awareness.

companies have partnered with Susan G.
Komen to raise awareness and money for
research.

58 million dollars.
A spokesman said cause marketing
works well because everybody wins...
the non-profit... the business and the
