GRAPHIC=WARNER HOSPITALIZED Senator John Warner has been


admitted to a hospital in northern
Virginia so doctors can treat an
infection in his leg.


Several weeks ago he underwent a
minor surgery to repair a small tear in
an artery in his thigh.


Yesterday doctors discovered the
80- year- old has a low- grade
infection at the surgical site.


He's being held for treatment and
observation.


Doctors expect the senator will
be able to return to work next week.

Sheriff isn't serving his prison


sentence...at least for now.

September 11 Frank Cassell was sentenced last
month and was supposed to begin his
eight month sentence Tuesday in a
federal prison in Waymart,
Pennsylvania.


But the U-S Marshal Service says
he will not report until next week.
That's because he could be called to
testify this week in the trial of
former Henry County Deputy Robert
Adams.


Adams faces multiple charges
stemming from a corruption scandal last
November.


Cassell will have to report to
the prison by noon next Tuesday.
