an infection on Senator John Warner's
leg.
Blood work has been inconclusive,
but the senator is responding to
antibiotics and feeling better.
The 80- year- old was admitted to
the hospital Wednesday after doctors
discovered a wound on his leg was
infected.
Warner is on track to spend the
weekend at home.

came through the Salem Transfer
Station.
Trash from the city and from
surrounding areas funnels through this
facility, is sorted and then shipped.
The director of the facility says
they have waste screening procedures in
place and someone who visually oversees
the more than 60-trucks and more than
250-TONS of trash that comes through
here.

in the war in Iraq...

Henry County.
He died Tuesday....his 22nd
birthday.
An improvised explosive device
killed him south of Baghdad.
Jenkins just returned to Iraq two
weeks ago after he being on leave in
Henry County.
His twin brother wants people to
remember him as Mickey the funny
guy...not for being the soldier killed
in Iraq.

victims of a roving gang to come
forward.

three months, there have been ten
incidents where individuals were
attacked on the east side of Radford
University.
It usually happens early in
the morning, and the victims are
usually men walking alone.
Police busted up one attack
over the weekend and arrested seven

their latest expansion.

Centra Health today cut the ribbon
on a five-story, 140-thousand square
foot East Tower.
It adds 108 private patient rooms,
many of them dedicated to orthopedic,
surgery and oncology care.
It also includes a conference
center and restaurant-style cafe.
