Authorities say Daryn Beck went
outside to move a friend's car when she
apparently backed into Michael Scott
Gusler.
Witnesses say the two exchanged
words, Gusler got back into his car and
hit the woman.
Police say witnesses then
surrounded Gusler's car...that's when
he ran over someone else's foot and
then ran over the woman - for a second
time - while she was still on the
ground.
Police say Gusler left the scene,
but was eventually arrested.

Center. Skies will be mostly sunny
CK/SKYTRACKER today with highs near 60. Winds will be
out of the west around 10-15mph. Higher
gusts are possible, especially west of
CK/WEATHERPRO the Roanoke Valley.
Tonight calls for mostly clear skies
and light and variable wind. There will
still be a chill in the air with lows
in the mid and upper 30s.
Just ahead of a strong cold front
pushing through the central Plains on
Monday, we'll see a nice warming trend
with highs in the mid and upper 60s.
Winds will turn breezy from the
southwest. Some gusts will be around
25mph. Skies will be mostly sunny as we
start the new week.
Clouds gather Monday night and early
Tuesday morning as the front quickly
crosses the area. A few light showers
are possible, however, most of these
will stay west of the Roanoke Valley.
Once the front passes to the east early
Tuesday morning, we'll see clearing
skies, but that's when the real fun
begins!
Winds will increase from the northwest
during the day Tuesday with highs only
in the low 50s. We'll stay mostly clear
to partly cloudy for the rest of the
week with temperatures below average. A
few snow showers are possible Tuesday
morning and Tuesday night in the
Highlands and the Greenbrier Valley of
West Virginia, with little to no
accumulation.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and slightly
cooler. High: 61
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly:

Farmers in North Carolina have
taken a big hit from the drought and
the heat this summer... but, at least
one type of farming has caught a break.
Two weeks ago Christmas tree
growers worried if they could cut the
crop in time.
They had to have rain. They had
to have cold weather. Finally this
week, they got both.
Cold weather is needed to set the
needles, and rain is needed just before
the trees are cut in order for them to
last until Christmas.

NO SUPER! the "time change" came a little LATER

The time change is to save energy
