This investigation is not over

Air and water quality tests were
conducted but more testing will be done
on various surfaces in the school.

According to Regional Health
officials at this time there is no
apparent public health hazard and no

evidence of communicability.

it because a number of students didn't
show up for school today.

We're told the focus of the
meeting is to discuss the situation
here at Byrd.

Beyond that, we don't know what
administrators plan to say to parents
and students.

Some want the school shut down
but it's unclear whether that will
happen.

The superintendent has said the
school system will continue to work
with the Health Department to

For the first time ... one of TV's most

allegations at her Leadership Academy
for Girls.

The charges include indecent assault
and soliciting underage girls to
perform indecent acts. The victims
range in age from 13 to 23. Winfrey

says she was notified a month ago, and
has since met with all the students and
their parents.

But reporters in South Africa say until
now ... the talk show host has kept a
tight lid on the story.

:51-1:02 (Gavin Prins / South African
Reporter) "We tried to get to Oprah,
speak to her or her publicist or media
team in South Africa to tell us what's
happening and what form of abuse it
took on, and everyone refused to speak
to us."

According to Winfrey ... she didn't
want to jeopardize the investigation
until an arrest was made.

(source: Harpo Productions, Inc.)

"I am glad that it happened now and not
two years from now because this gives
us the opportunity to completely course
correct, removing all the dorm parents
and as I've said to the girls, cleaning
house from top to bottom."

Pledging to revamp the hiring process

and getting rid of the headmistress ...
Winfrey also says she hopes a student
who left in the midst of it all ...
will give her school a second shot.

this week is game two in the four game
set that will carry Tech in the stretch
run.

But more than that it's a chance
to right a whole lot of wrong.

The Hokies haven't beaten Florida
State since 1975.

And in honor of turning the
clocks back an hour this weekend,
tonight we turn the calendar back
almost 8 years and relive the most
significant meeting between the two
schools - the 2000 National
Champiosnhip game - the Nokia Sugar
Bowl in New Orleans.

long time Tech fans - was a once in a
lifetime opportunity.

The Maroon and Orange clad Hokie
Nation took over the French Quarter and
on the eve of the biggest game in
school history - more than 15 thousand
Hokies wedged their way into the New
Orleans convention center for a raucous
- goose bump producing pep rally.

The Hokies carried that
excitement and momentum in to the Super
Dome against the favored Seminoles and
rolled up 503 yards of total offense
and had the ball almost 13 minutes more
than the Noles.

The Hokies led the game 29 to-28
heading to the fourth quarter - only to
watch FSU and Peter Warrick explode for
18 points in the final period of play.

The Hokies lose the game 46 to
29, but finish the season 11 and 1

with the highest end of the year
ranking in school history - number two
in the final Associated Press poll.
