But it's been in the ground
around Vinton for more than a decade.
Opponents in Giles County fear
the ash could seep into the ground
water and be toxic to animals, the
environment and people.

Country Crossing foodette now sits.

have been gushing since August - up
more than 30-percent - and where oil
goes, gas soon follows.
Why does oil cost so much? Besides
OPEC keeping a tight rein on supply,
turmoil in oil-producing countries has
pushed crude to record levels.
In Mexico, one-fifth of production was
suspended due to bad weather, Iran
faces economic sanctions, in Iraq the
war continues to take its toll, and oil
fields in Nigeria are often under
siege.

Researchers say it helps reduce signs
of inflammation associated with

condition, in which the heart no longer

If you have leftover medicines at your
home, the government is now asking you
to throw them out in a very specific
way.
Mix them with cat litter....preferably
used.
Cat litter disposal is better for the
environment than flushing medicine down
the toilet, and it will keep children

Oil prices have been gushing since
August - up
more than 30-percent - and where oil
goes, gas soon follows.
And oil is skyrocketing because of
OPEC keeping a tight rein on supply and
continued turmoil in oil- producing
countries.
Three dollars a gallon is just the
beginning.
Analysts expect oil to break the
100-dollar-a-barrel mark in the coming
months, and THAT would take gas up
near four dollars a gallon next summer.

business have hit a brick wall.

Kessler Mill Road caused dozens of
nearby residents to speak out in
opposition.
In a letter to the city of Salem
- the company withdrew its request
which would have been heard by council
on November 12th.
But, members of the community say
it isn't over yet- they want the issue
taken off the agenda.
They're still holding an
informational meeting on Thursday night
for those against the project.
