The University of Virginia men's
basketball team opens its season Sunday
at home against Vermont.
Unfortunately, the Cavs will be
without one of their top rebounding and
defensive forces.

Tunji Soroye, the senior center
from Nigeria, had arthroscopic surgery
yesterday his left knee to repair
damaged cartilage. He is expected to
be out 6-8 weeks.
The 6-11 Soroye has lettered
three years for UVa and he has started
34 games the last two seasons. He has
blocked 78 shots during his Virginia
career and has led the Cavs in blocked
shots the last two seasons.

technician claims he's discovered
musical notes encoded in "The Last
Supper."

Giovanni Pala first saw that by
drawing the five lines of a musical
staff across the painting, the loaves
of bread on the table as well as the
hands of Jesus and the Apostles---
could each represent a musical note.
But the notes made no sense
musically until Pala realized that the
score had to be read from right to
left, following DaVinci's particular
writing style.

But add thousands of lights, and this
tree will be the holiday centerpiece at
the famed Rockefeller Center in New
York.
The 84- foot Norway Spruce arrived in
Manhattan this morning on the back of
the truck.
Crews drove the tree in from
Connecticut, where it was cut down on
Wednesday.
The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree
will be lit during a ceremony November
28th.
