hunting trip in Bath County.

Radcliffe Vernon who's from Bath
died around 7:30 this morning.
Game Wardons say Vernon was
hunting in a wooded area near Lake
Moomaw and died from an apparent
gunshot.
They're still trying to figure
out where the gunshot came from.
Vernon's body will be sent to the
medical examiner's office in Roanoke.

just by taking the field in the final
game at the historic venue against
Miami.
But Al Groh and company left
another mark in the record books as

Big South tilt which saw the Flames
light up the Williams Stadium
scoreboard.

The Flames already had a working
margin before Brock Smith aired it out
off the play action with all kinds of
time to a wide open Dominic Bolden on a
52 yard TD strike as Liberty jumped out
front 17-nothing.
Later, Smith does it himself,
keeping on the 9 yard score and Liberty
led 24 to nothing after just one
quarter.
The Keydets got on the board
with 28 second quarter points. Howard
Abegesah turns in a strong run from 14
yards out that winds up in the endzone,
but it was still an uphill battle for
VMI.
