investigating a shooting this morning.

A resident at the Chasewood Downs
apartment complex says the shooting
happened at an apartment there around
four o'clock.

Blacksburg police say no one was
injured, but they are still searching
for the shooter.

We'll pass along further details
as the police provide them.

police to divert traffic off U-S 220 in
Henry County this morning.

the Oak Level area have been blocked
since four o'clock.

Traffic is being re-routed onto

local roads until the wreckage can be
cleared up.

At last check, police expected
the highway to be re-opened shortly.

hunting trip in Bath County.

Radcliffe Vernon, who's from
Bath, died around 7:30 Saturday
morning.

Game Wardons say Vernon was
hunting in a wooded area near Lake
Moomaw and died from an apparent
gunshot.

They're still trying to figure
out where the gunshot came from.

Vernon's body will be sent to the
medical examiner's office in Roanoke.

looking for two men - who they say
robbed a convenience store.

the Country Boy's Market on South
Boston Highway

Two men walked in with bandanas
over their faces -according to
authorities - and took out their
weapons.

The robbers ran off with an
unknown amount of cash.

they want answers...after reports came
out of several people at the school
experiencing "unusual" symptoms.

a public meeting to answer questions
and to reassure parents it was not
necessary to close the school because
there was no evidence this was
something contagious or a public health
threat.

On Tuesday the school was closed for
elections...but administrators
announced there would be more testing
on the building...this time looking at
surfaces. Those results are expected
back Monday.

They also expanded their investigation
beyond the school.

They tell us they wonder if they'll

He says the prawns have a

taste.

the death of a missing Missouri girl.

And, authorities say one of them
is the child's stepfather.

are accused of raping and murdering
Rowan Ford.

Police say Spears was taking care
of the nine-year-old before she went
missing.

Investigators say he and Collins
took the girl from her home and then
raped and strangled her.

Rowan's body was found Friday in
a cave about 10-miles away from her
home.

The men now face several charges
including rape and murder.
