Usually gas prices fall after Labor
Day, but this year they're 90 cents
higher than a year ago.
The reason? The price of crude oil
is up.
And get this, some are predicting the
price of gas will increase another 20
cents by next month, just in time for
the busy shopping season.
Retailers say it's bound to have some
affect.

since two guys stole nearly 50 thousand
dollars worth of guns out of a
Collinsville gun shop...and still no
sign of them.

Southern Gun's both believe the two men
had probably scoped out the place
before, since they knew exactly what
they were looking for.

inventory of all the guns that are

himself at the time of the heist and
says the robbers were in and out in
about three minutes.

Investigators arrested 21 year
old Clinton Eric Burke around midnight.
He was at his mother's home in
the Gladsboro section of the county.

teenagers in the head inside this home
in Fancy Gap, they died.
And a third teen was wounded.
The Sheriff has not released a
motive for the killings but says the

nearly six-years, but a man accused of
molesting three little girls is back
in Botetourt County- in custody.

was pulled over for drunk driving in
Iowa.
The name he gave officers and his
fingerprints did not match up - and he

strong cold front will push through
tonight, bringing scattered showers
through early Thursday morning. A few
may linger around until noon in the

Gusty winds (25-30mph) and much cooler
temperatures will arrive behind the
front. Highs will actually take place

For years Virginia has matched
federal grant dollars to support five
abstinence- only programs across the
state - including one in Lynchburg.
The groups go into schools and
supplement the the state's sex
education curriculum with abstinence-
only teachings.
Last year in Virginia more than
27- percent of females age ten- to- 19
got pregnant.
Doctor David Suttle with the
state's Family Health Services put the
program on the chopping block.
He says the federal grant was
unstable and too restrictive.
