higher than a year ago.
The reason? The price of crude oil
is up.
And get this, some are predicting the
price of gas will increase another 20
cents by next month, just in time for

old Clinton Eric Burke around midnight.
He was at his mother's home in
the Gladsboro section of the county.

molesting three little girls is back in
Botetourt County - and in custody.

Center. The high temperature today in
Roanoke was 71 and the low was 49. A
strong cold front will push through
tonight, bringing scattered showers
through early Thursday morning. A few
may linger around until noon in the
eastern portions of the viewing area.
Gusty winds (25-30mph) and much cooler
temperatures will arrive behind the
front. Highs will actually take place
early Thursday morning, with
temperatures dropping during the
afternoon. Most areas will only manage
low and mid 50s for highs. Even cooler
weather can be expected for Friday,

September has released findings that
contradict Blackwater's claims.

of 17 Iraqi civilians were killed
without justification.
Blackwater claims the guards
fired in self defense.
The FBI's findings are consistent
with earlier investigations by the
Iraqis and the U-S military.
That said, a former military

investigation.

basketball team played its home opener
tonight at the Dedmon Dome.
Tonight's game with future Big
South member Presbyterian marked the
first home game for first year RU head
coach Brad Greenberg, who was hired
back on March 23rd.

Radford lost its first two games on the
road in Michigan, but tonight the
Dedmon Dome was rocking and Greenberg
and the players were anxious to get win
number one.
The Highlanders have a number of
newcomers on this team besides the

cleans up the mess from the outside
shot and throws down the two handed jam
for RU.
