Federal prosecutors say efforts
by creditors and the Atlanta Falcons to
get money from Vick prompted THEM to
ask a federal judge to order Vick to
set aside nearly one million dollars.
According to the documents filed
today, the money would cover the cost
of caring for the pit bulls seized from
his dogfighting operation in Surry
County.

this morning in the Catawba area of
Roanoke County... but one of them may
have hit a person driving by instead.
Officers from the Department
of Game say the bullet came through the
window of Howard Bowers' truck while he
was driving on Newport Road around
7:30. The bullet hit his hand.
Investigators found two
hunters in the area who both said they
shot at a deer around the same time.
Neither has been charged, but
Conservation Police Officers are taking
forensic evidence from both.
Bowers was taken to
Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for
surgery.

Robin Reed in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. The high temperature today in
Roanoke was 73 and the low was 44. A
strong southwest flow will bring in
warm temperatures Wednesday, with
perhaps some records being shattered by
the afternoon. Highs will manage low
70s with increasing clouds during the
afternoon. A cold front will usher in
major changes by Thanksgiving Day.
Showers (and a few storms) will move in
late Wednesday night in the west, and
spread east Thursday. Temperatures will
likely be steady or drop as the
afternoon goes on. A high pressure
system will move back in Friday leading
to mostly sunny skies, but cold numbers
as you head out shopping. Lows will
start in the 30s during the morning and
only reach the upper 40s by the
afternoon. The weekend remains cool as
well, with a chance of showers Sunday.

parkinson's.
President Bush, who vetoed
federal funding for embryonic stem cell
research, is praising this new
discovery.

The illegal distillery was such a

comeback in UVA history - and they did
so at Lane Stadium.

felt like it was over.

The Tide began to turn in UVA's
favor when Johnson - one of Tech's best
corners left the game with a injured
left knee and never returned.

With Johnson Brooks got busy -
first hitting Kevin Coffey on a 24 yard
slant-in to cut the lead to 29-to-14.
The Cavs' defense then made a
muched needed play as Byron Thweatt
picked off Al Clark's pass and took it
to the house in the third quarter to
make it a 29-to-21 game.
Tech was still on top 32-to-29
with just two minutes to go, but that's
when Brooks hit Ahamad Hawkins to
complete the greatest comeback in UVA
history as the Cavs win it 36-to-32.
