County minister pled guilty to the
crime today.

Copin as he searched her home for money
in April.

April to capital murder and robbery. As a
result, Cobler will get life in prison

will also be sentenced to 20 years on
the robbery charge.
Copin was minister of Snow Creek
Christian Church. An autopsy revealed
she died of massive head injuries.

be charged in the August accident that
sent a pedestrian to the hospital.
That's according to
Commonwealth's Attorney Don Caldwell.

August Michael Hutton of the Roanoke
Police Department was responding to a
burglary call.
That's when investigators say he
hit Melvin David Todd as he crossed
Lafayette Boulevard.
Todd suffered multiple injuries,
including several broken bones.
Even though Hutton was traveling
10 to 15 miles over the speed limit,
Caldwell says it doesn't qualify as
reckless driving, because he wasn't
disregarding public safety.
Caldwell also says even though
the officer didn't have his lights and
sirens flashing -its not unreasonable,
because he was responding to a felony.
The report also indicates that
Todd's blood alcohol level was nearly
three-times the legal limit.

cams happens to show one of them.
This is exit 240 at Mount Crawford,

right now and the new Western Virginia
Regional Jail is no different.

acres of land just off Interstate 81 in
the Dixie Caverns area.
The project has many
environmental features including a roof
that will capture water to be used for
the laundry.
The jail also has a vaccum

use.
Those who run the jail say an
environmental friendly building costs
more upfront but saves money down the
line.
