Their day is only halfway over,
but they already have plenty to show

Adam Peacock is facing a challenge most
hunters don't have to deal with.

Peacock is one of several men
visiting Halifax County from the Walter

With the help of the wounded
warrior program, they're getting to
enjoy a sport that might otherwise be
out of reach.
Andrew Hill was wounded by an
explosive in Afghanistan.
RUN=:02 1:02:56 "I didn't think I was

learning to overcome his injuries.

something back to these people who have
given so much to us and our country."
1:16:45
After just a few hours in the
woods, hunters say this experience is
already having a positive effect.
RUN=:03 1:05:24 "Feels good. I think
it's good therapy." 1:05:27
RUN=:10 1:13:46 "For them to come out

Center. After a cold start with clear
skies and a low of 21 at the Roanoke
Regional Airport, temperatures warmed
up to 44 this afternoon with mostly
sunny skies. Now clouds are in the sky
above. A high and mid level cloud deck
approaches Saturday night ahead of a
developing storm system in the
Mississippi River Valley. Lows are
forecast near 30 - not as cold.
Sunday should stay dry for the most
part. We'll keep in a 20% chance of a
sprinkle or stray shower for good
measure, with the primary threat across
the southern half of the NEWS7 viewing
area. Highs are forecast in the mid 40s
Sunday.
Showers are likely Sunday night through
Monday night. The best opportunity to
pick up rain will be when a cold front
passes by late Monday evening. Some
instability could develop Monday with a
little sunshine and highs near 60. This
could lead to scattered thunderstorms
late Monday. Right now, a solid 0.50"
looks like a good bet for the area;
higher amounts are possible.
Clearing skies are forecast with the
return of high pressure Tuesday and
Wednesday. Variably cloudy Thursday and
Friday with the passage of a
moisture-starved front.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Not as
cool. Low: 31
SUNDAY: Mainly cloudy, 20%

head man after Bill Callahan was fired
today. Callahan was 27 and 22 in four
seasons in Lincoln. Two of those
years, the Cornhuskers had a losing
record, including a 5 and 7 mark this
year. Callahan has a 3.1 million
dollar buyout on the way.
Ed Orgeron is also on the
unemployment line after being let go at
Ole Miss following his third season in
Oxford. Orgeron's Rebels were 3 and 9
this season and went winless in SEC
play for the first time since 1982.

David Wilson put GW on the board
first as he takes the pitch from TJ

GW.
Potomac took advantage on this
TD pass on the fade. It was 17-7 home
team at the half.
In the 2nd half,

The Roanoke Civic Center has
transformed it's floor into a skating

The price...five dollars a person
plus two dollars for skates.
From the looks of it, a lot of
kids didn't mind putting down the video
