team is hitting the floor for practice
for the first time since two players
were seriously injured in a plane crash
over the Holiday weekend.

York.
The plane crashed during a second
landing attempt.
Both players are recovering. The
coach says they are doing well.

investigating two more home invasions
over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The first one happened Saturday
night on 36th street. The second,
early Sunday morning on Campbell
Avenue. No one was seriously hurt in
either incident.
Just this month, Roanoke Police
have investigated ten home invasions.
Police say some of the
cases may be drug related.
And a lack of cooperation from victims
and witnesses has prevented them from
making arrests.
The police department declined
our request for an interview today.

Lynchburg for hours this afternoon, but
a propane leak has been taken care of.

The tank at True Value
Hardware on Lakeside Drive was knocked
loose by a traffic accident.
The crash damaged the valves
and the tank could not be shut off.
Several nearby businesses
and roads along the Lynchburg/ Bedford
County line were closed while the gas
dissipated.
The tank has been removed,
and traffic should be getting back to
normal.
No one was seriously injured.

The Hokies dominated on defense
as Chris Ellis, Xavier Adibi and Macho
Harrris all made the first team all-ACC
team.

season.

this afternoon even though he's never
had a losing record at the school, even
thought the Jackets played for the ACC
title last year, and even though he
still has four years left on a $1
million a year contract.
The Jackets are 7 and 5 this
season.
Duke also fired Ted Roof today,
but that's understandable. Roof won
four games in four years and the Devils
have lost 25 straight ACC games.

For 57 Minutes and 49 seconds the
Hokies had the nation's second ranked
team beaten and beaten down. As Eddie
Royal's second quarter TD catch and
relentless pressure from the Hokies'
defense had BC on the ropes.
Matt Ryan's two TD passes in the
final 2 minutes and 11 seconds -
including the Lane Stadium stunner with
just 11 seconds to go kept the Eagles
unbeaten at the time as they headed
north with a 14-to-10 win.
The Eagles lost two in a row in
ACC play in early November, but Ryan
proved he still has the magic in the
Coastal division elimination game
against Clemson as he threw another
come from behind game winning TD in
Death Valley.
This will be BC's first trip to
the Title game while Tech will be
making its second appearance in three
years at Jacksonville's Municipal
Stadium in the ACC title game

Sean Taylor remains in critical
condition after being shot this morning
at his home in Miami.
Police say Taylor was shot in the
leg around 1:45 this morning at his
home in what they are investigating as
an armed robbery.

lost a significant amount of blood
before he was airlifted to a nearby

Taylor has been recovering from a
