old Johnathan David Jones of
Fredericksburg fell from the seventh
floor study lounge.

He landed on concrete in front of
a dorm entrance.

The freshmen student was
transported to Montgomery Regional
hospital where he was pronounced dead.

trial date today on state dogfighting
charges for Michael Vick.

The Atlanta Falcons quarterback
turned himself in last week, and is

The Atlanta Falcons quarterback
turned himself in last week, and is

investigating two more home invasions.

The first one happened Saturday
night on 36th Street.

The second, early Sunday morning
on Campbell Avenue.

No one was seriously hurt in
either incident.

Just this month, Roanoke Police

cases may be drug related.

And a lack of cooperation from
victims and witnesses has prevented

says he was discriminated against on
the job, and is suing the county.

Pulaski County Public Service Authority
as a trash collector for more than 7
years.

He says a former co-worker
refused to work with black people.

Taylor filed a civil suit in U-S
District Court last year and was fired
this year.

In the lawsuit, Taylor accuses
county employees of race discrimination
and retaliation.

Pulaski County Administrator,
Peter Huber, who is named in the
lawsuit, said he cannot discuss
personnel matters but issued this
statement.

"With regard to the litigation,
Pulaski County stands by its answer to
the complaint which denies Mr. Taylor's
claims."

According to a report, Taylor has

student is dead after falling out of a
window in East Prichard Hall shortly
after seven o'clock last night.

The student has been identified
as 19-year-old Johnathan David Jones of

indications are he either fell or
jumped from the seventh floor study
lounge.

There are no indications of foul
play.

A judge is expected to set a
trial date today on state dogfighting
charges for Michael Vick.

The Atlanta Falcons quarterback
is in custody awaiting sentencing after
pleading guilty to FEDERAL dogfighting
counts.

His lawyers have indicated
they'll fight the state charges on the
grounds that Vick can't be convicted of
the same crime twice.
