me about his dog in the house and i
told him he couldn't go in because of
the flames...on fire, fire coming
through the hall and stuff....

going in...His aunt tells us he
actually had the dog in his arms but it
jumped out and and the boy was overcome
by smoke. The dog died. Another family
member was hurt but niether were
seriously hurt.
A different scenario for a
firefighter...who had to be pulled out
shortly after crews went into the
house....leaving hours of uncertainty
for his fire brothers...

Seventy-one people went to a dozen
hospitals after an Amtrak train plowed
into the back of a freight train in
Chicago. Most are in stable or good
condition.
Five were in serious to critical
condition when they were taken from the
scene.
No word yet on why the two trains were
on the same track.

and charged four people in connection
to the deadly shooting of Redskins
football star Sean Taylor.

Taylor died Tuesday, one day

Rochester. He peacefully surrendered
about four hours ago.
Police say the drama began when the
distraught man wearing

candidate.
The hostages were released during
the afternoon.

morning in Richmond.
Phillips got 21 months.

the scandal at the Henry County
Sheriff's Department will spend three
years on probation.
Travis Todd Wilkins pleaded
guilty to posessing a firearm with an
obliterated serial number.
In addition to probation,
Wilkins was ordered to perform

dollar fine and can't keep any guns in
his home.

storm system that's currently across
the southwestern United States. A few
showers are possible (40%) Sunday
afternoon and Sunday evening. There's a
better chance of rain (70%) Sunday
night into very early Monday morning.

built on Mill Mountain.

visitor's center and lower overlook
below the star.
Unlike the concept unveiled last
Spring, this one does not include a
lodge or hotel.
It would have public meeting

primarily of an upscale restaurant.
