co-defendants will each spend more than
a year and a half in jail.
The two were sentenced for
dogfighting conspiracy convictions this
morning in federal court in Richmond.
Purnell Peace got an
18-month sentence.
Quanis Phillips was
sentenced to 21 months, because of
prior convictions.
Judge Henry Hudson told
Phillips ... quote ... "You may have
thought this was sporting but it was
very callous and cruel."
Vick will be sentenced on
December 10th.

jet.

They snuck American murder suspect
Amanda Knox in through the back door of
the
Italian courthouse.
Moments later, her Italian boyfriend
and fellow suspect Raffaele Sollecito
was
smuggled in the same way.
A judge will decide whether there's
enough evidence to keep pair locked up
in
connection with the killing of British
student Meredith Kercher four weeks ago
in Perugia, Italy.
Knox's lawyer said she broke down in
tears as she addressed the court.

were able to fully explain our point of
view," he says, "Amanda made a very
brief statement proclaiming her

THE MORNING AFTER.
And though she first insisted she
WASN'T at the crime scene where her
roommate's throat was slashed, she
later CHANGED her story and said she

there and had to muffle her ears to
drown out the victim's screams.
In the weeks since her arrest, Knox's
father has been able to visit his
daughter on a regular basis, and Knox
herself told her lawyer she's holding
up
well in jail.

glass for the large atrium in the front
of the building.

will see what's behind the other side
of that glass.

well as the terrace outside, to be a
popular place for weddings and other
events.
Of course the real attraction will
hopefully be the art.
You can see the galleries on the
second floor are already beginning to
take shape.
There will be seven in all which will
quadruple the museum's current space.

fundraising event of the year for Old
Southwest neighborhood association.
