are closing at 12:30.
And schools in Rockbridge County will

normal in Chicago ....

I didn t expect it to be as much snow
in the ground as right now.
At the crack of dawn, Joshua Miller was
digging out his walk and then
shoveling snow off the cars for his
entire family. The first major snow
storm
of the season brought misery to the
Windy City.

It is too early, we had a mild winter
last year. Totally surprised this year.
About five inches are expected near
Lake Michigan, more than enough to make
for a nasty commute for thousands. At
O Hare airport, at least 40 flights
have been cancelled and there are
plenty of long delays.

Chicago and the people of the upper
Midwest have now gotten a healthy dose
of
the same killer storm that left parts
of the Pacific Northwest under water .

In Oregon and Washington flood waters
are receding after two days of
torrential rain and gale force winds.

We woke up to this and everything we
owned was headed towards the canal.
Pacific Power says more than 30,000
people began the day in the dark and,
with
so many lines down, it will takes days
to restore electricity for everybody.
And part of Interstate 5 between

In the Midwest, residents hope to fare
better, but the roads are very slick.
Two separate bus accidents in Indiana
injured more than a dozen.

arrived - another storm is expected to

investigating a possible muder-suicide.
On Tuesday afternoon sheriff's
deputies say Dorsie Morgan shot his
wife Bonnie before killing himself.
The couple was estranged at the
time.
Authorities aren't sure if the
couple, who were in their 60's, had an
argument before the shootings.
All they know is Bonnie was
staying down the street at another
family member's home on Pinecrest Lane
when she was killed.

The two guys were breaking the
law with their indecent exposure, but
the clerk did not call police.

fast-moving clipper will skirt through
West Virginia and Virginia today. This
will provide the first snowfall of the
season for some of the NEWS7 viewing
area.
Here's the breakdown:
North and West of Interstate 64:
Coating to 2 inches possible in the
Highlands, including Hot Springs,
Covington and Low Moor.
Roanoke, Lynchburg and NRV: Mainly
occasional light snow showers in the
morning, mixing with rain during the
afternoon. Any accumulating snow would
around 1".
Southside: Mainly light drizzle and a
few flurries are possible. No snow
accumulation.
The Alberta Clipper swings by Wednesday
night with skies turning partly cloudy.
We'll see a reinforcing shot of cold
air, with lows in the upper 20s. Winds
will continue from the northwest around
10mph.
A ridge of high pressure starts
building into the forecast area
Thursday and Friday, with mostly sunny
to partly sunny skies. Highs Thursday
are forecast in the chilly 40s, but
we'll see 50s by Friday, and closer to
60 by Saturday. The thought of "snow"
will be we'll removed by that point!
