They got off with 74 guns, which

The owner of the gun shop revealed
tonight the suspects apparently scoped
out the place several hours before the
robbery.
Authorities also believe the two men
may have been involved in an attempted
robbery in the Carver area a hour
before.

an emailed statement this afternoon.

firms checked for everything from
carbon monoxide to herbicides. The
companies also tested drinking water,
indoor surfaces inside.. as well as
soil and mulch outside.
These results seem to confirm
the Virginia Department of Health's
conclusion last month that a twitching
some students suffered was caused by
stress, not any environmental or
neurological factors.

was assaulted while jogging.
The incident happened in the 400
block of Alta Lane on Tuesday.
The jogger says a man got out of
a car, forced her against it and
sexually assaulted her.
Police say another man was also
in the car.
They're now looking for a late
1990's blue navy pickup truck with
cream or tan colored camper shell.

Today, it was one of their own.

night, when they discovered one of
their fire boats had sunk in its slip
at Crazy Horse Marina.
Today they called in a crane,
placed airbags under the hull, and used

BEGAN HIS SHORT -- BUT DEADLY --
SHOOTING SPREE.

ambulance."
OTHER CALLS WERE CHAOTIC.
CHAOS ON THE PHONE>
THE RAMPAGE LASTED ONLY MINUTES, BUT
LEFT NINE PEOPLE ... INCLUDING THE
SHOOTER ... DEAD.

POLICE SAY HAWKINS HID THE AK-47 IN A
SWEATSHIRT AND OPENED FIRE AS SOON AS
HE
STEPPED OUT THE THIRD FLOOR ELEVATOR.
WITNESSES SAY HE FIRED FIRST TOWARD THE
CHILDREN'S CLOTHING SECTION ... THEN AT
PEOPLE ON AN ESCALATOR FROM THE SECOND
FLOOR. THE LAST VICTIMS WERE THOSE AT
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AREA AND GIFT
WRAPPING COUNTER.
HIS VICTIMS WERE REMEMBERED AT PRAYER
SERVICES ACROSS THE CITY.

STEP-MOTHER . HE BECAME A WARD OF THE
STATE AND SPENT TIME IN TREATMENT
CENTERS. BUT LAST YEAR, HE WAS
RELEASED
FROM STATE CUSTODY ... THEN HE HIT
BOTTOM. IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS HE WAS
ARRESTED, LOST HIS JOB AND HIS
GIRLFRIEND.

BUT WHETHER ANYONE COULD HAVE KNOWN
HAWKINS WOULD WREAK SUCH DEVASTATION IS
UNCLEAR. POLICE SAY HE LEFT WARNING
SIGNS IN TEXT MESSAGES, TELEPHONE CALLS
AND NOTES. INCLUDING A SUICIDE NOTE
SAYING HE WANTED TO GO OUT IN STYLE.

The closeup shots show the car at the
Southpark mall- that crashed into the
top level of the deck.. and left one
woman dead.
A witness says the woman's car was
stuck on a cement median when she went
back and forth and eventually floored
it-- her car sped forward and slammed
into the wall- the top floor then
crashed down on top of her car.
It's unclear if the woman had a
medical condition- several other cars
were damaged in the collapse-

Consumer Watch Banner more than a million trucks, S-U-V's and
vans .

VO-NAT The automaker plans to fix an
engine sensor problem in the vehicles
that could cause them to stall and even
crash ..
Ford says there have been 14
accidents linked to the problem ... but
no injuries reported.
The recalled vehicles are its
19-97 and 20-03 models with seven point
three liter diesel engines ... which
include the Excursion , the F-4-50,
F-5-50 and the E series van.
