remind you that either one could cause
a tragic Christmas.

VO-NAT An unattended candle could lead

to this in just seconds.

Not watering your Christmas tree
often enough - could also make the
threat of fire very real.

Last year, crews say they didn't
work any December fires caused by
neglected Christmas trees...but it has
happened.

Another thing...leaving your food
unattended is also a big problem around
December.

(WEATHER PRO)

LEO TOSS STRAIGHT TO COMMERCIAL < Webb in the SkyTracker7 Forecast COMM Center. High pressure will build in
from the Ohio River Valley Thursday
leading to a mostly clear sky. However,
even with all the sunshine you'll see
today, afternoon highs will be well
below average, topping out only near
40! The New River Valley and the
Highlands probably won't even make it
out of the 30s! Wind will be light.

This evening will be mostly clear, but
high level clouds will stream in
Thursday night as a front approaches
from the west. It'll be cold once again
with widespread 20s.

As a ridge develops across the
southeastern United States Friday and
through the weekend, we'll see a big
warm up. Highs are forecast near 50
Friday, mid 50s Saturday, and in the
60s Sunday. Skies will average partly
cloudy status during that time, with
weak moisture just to our west in West
Virginia and Kentucky. Our next best
chance of rain really doesn't arrive
until early next week.

THURSDAY: Sunny and cold. High: 41

THURSDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds. Low:
24

FRIDAY: Partly sunny. Iso. shower
(west). High: 49

Have a great Thursday! Meteorologist
