will lose their jobs.

in production levels.
This is the second round of job
cuts in the last year for employees of
the plant.
In November of 2006 Volvo
announced that more than 1-thousand
workers would lose their jobs.
Though, at the beginning of the
year only about 900 jobs were cut.

several waves of showers will ride
along it. This will produce cloudy
skies and the occassional shower. Most
areas should see lows above freezing
tonight, but those in sheltered valleys
should be cautious when heading out
tonight and early Saturday. Saturday
starts with plenty of clouds (20%
sprinkle/shower) with partly sunny
skies developing by the afternoon.
Temperatures get a push into the mid
50s for the first day of the weekend.
Saturday night will be variably cloudy
with lows near 40. Sunday is cloudy

day. The beginning of next week will be
headlined with warmer temperatures.
Monday and Tuesday expect highs in the

Co-workers of a former Pulaski
County garbage collector are speaking
up about what they call racism on the
job.
News 7's Holly Pietrzak has been
covering this story and has more

Keith and Jean, Shawn Taylor told
us last month he was discriminated
against at the Pulaski County Public
Service Authority - where he worked for
7 years as a garbage collector.

Now some of his former co-workers
are stepping forward to confirm his
claims.

they've witnessed at the Pulaski County

Taylor's co-workers say he was
pulled off a truck, because another
garbage hauler allegedly said he didn't
want to work with a black man
Stilwell quit her job at the
P-S-A about a year ago but says she was
there to see how Taylor was treated.

Peter Huber, the Pulaski
County Administrator referred to his
pervious comment to News 7 last month.
In that written statement Huber
said he could not discuss personnel
issues and denied Taylor's claims in
the lawsuit.

have a new head coach.
Today, the school agreed in principle
to hire Paul Johnson of Navy to replace
the fired Chan Gailey.

37 games in that span. Navy has been
to four straight bowl games and will
play in San Diego against Utah in the
Poinsettia Bowl on the 20th.
Johnson, the Newland, North
Carolina native, won national

named Southern Conference Coach of the
Year on 5 different occasions.
The deal in Atlanta is said
to be a 6 year pact worth 14 million
