Mitt Romney's fighting for his
political life, and he was on the
attack at

last night's Republican forum.

(SOT MITT ROMNEY 201100): "MIKE - YOU

MAKE UP FACTS FASTER THAN YOU TALK AND

THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING."

Romney finds himself neck and neck with
John McCain. The Arziona senator

appeals to New Hampshire independents,
but Romney's got to have some of those

votes to keep his hopes alive.

(SOT ROMNEY 202300): "I'VE BEEN IN THE

ECONOMY - I'VE BEEN THERE IN THE REAL

WORLD. WE NEED A PRESIDENT WHO KNOWS
HOW THE ECONOMY WORKS."

(SOT JOHN MCCAIN 203300): "I ALSO HAD

EXPERIENCE IN LEADERSHIP, NOT

MANAGEMENT. I LED THE LARGEST SQUADRON
IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY. NOT FOR

PROFIT BUT FOR PATRIOTISM."

(Joel Brown/Stand-Up 202156)

ON THE EVE OF THE BIG PRIMARY, EACH
CANDIDATE'S KEEPING THEIR SCHEDULE
LOADED,

GOV. BILL RICHARDSON IS POLLING LOW ON
THE LEADERBOARD HERE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE,

BUT EVEN HIS CAMPAIGN HASN'T LET UP.

(SOT GOVERNOR BILL RICHARDSON 202340):

"MAYBE THERE'S A SURGE FOR ME. I'M JUST

TRYING FOR THE TOP 3 AND MOVE ON TO
THE WEST."

(nats Hillary intro 183745)

Richardson and the rest are chasing
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The

Clinton camp knows Obama's constant
call for change has been effective.
Their

response? Talk is cheap.

(SOT HILLARY CLINTON 183900): "THIS

ELECTION IS ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN

TALK AND ACTION. BETWEEN RHETORIC AND
REALITY."

(nats 2122500 Obama entrance)

If it ain't broke, don't fix it -
that's the Obama strategy. One new poll
has

him opening up a double-digit lead in
New Hampshire over the former First

Lady.

(SOT BARACK OBAMA 124045): "WE ARE AT A

DEFINING MOMENT IN OUR HISTORY."

So is the campaign. If Obama can take
New Hampshire, Clinton will have to

radically change tactics. Her
campaign's been in the works for YEARS
but may

need a transformation within weeks.

long-standing records could fall the

first two days of the week.

A strong cold front crosses the area
Tuesday night into early Wednesday
morning. Scattered showers will
accompany the front, as well as cooler
temperatures. Highs Wednesday are
expected in the mid 50s with morning
showers, then increasing sunshine.

A fast upper flow will bring
disturbances across the region for the
rest of the week. Shower chances are
high Thursday and Friday with
temperatures near 50.

MONDAY: Partly sunny and warm. High: 67

MONDAY NIGHT: Becoming cloudy. Low: 45
