According to Salem Police- it
happened just before one o'clock today
on the tracks off of Diuguids DO-gits
Lane.
Apparently there are TWO sets of
tracks here.
Investigators say the truck
driver was crossing the tracks when the
gate came down- trapping him in the
middle.
While the cab of the truck
cleared the tracks, the trailer did
not.
As you can see from this video-
the impact pushed his load of steel
trusses onto the tracks.

A major metal manufacturer
announced it is moving to the area.

It is opening a facility in about
a year and a half.
The company produces titanium
mill products - which are used in U-S

County leaders hope the new move

One of the most beloved figures
in Washington Redskins football history
resigned today.
Hall of fame coach Joe Gibbs
called it quits after four years in his
second term as the teams' leader.

But in the end it wasn't about

seven grandchildren and another one on
the way - one of those Taylor was
diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic
leukemia last year and the 67 year old
Gibbs says it simply time to put family
first.

A Botetourt County Travel Agent
took a trip today.. but not anywhere
tropical.. Donny Hudgins is now in
jail.

The 60-year old businessman was
in court today for sentencing on credit
card fraud charges.
Commonwealth's Attorney Joel
Branscom told some of the victims the
sentencing guidelines called for
probation and that it was unlikely
Hudgins would do time.
Hudgins testified his Botetourt
Travel agency had never made a profit.
Though he made restitution this
morning, and said he was sorry, the
judge ordered him to serve three months
in jail and perform 50 hours of
community service.

Despite being drawn to his family
at this stage in life - saying goodbye
to his Washington Redskins' family was

against Southern Virginia with a 7 and
6 record, they were looking to go into
Big South Play on Saturday with another
win and some momentum.

Once a boy in Mexico came up with an
unusual plan to get out of school, he
sure stuck to it.

Of course he really didn't have a
choice. Diego Palacios glued his hand
to his bed.
His mother found him stuck to the
bed watching television.
She spent nearly two hours trying
to free the 10-year-old's hand- trying
water, oil and even nail polish
remover.
None of that worked so she had to
call for help.
It took a team of paramedics to free
the boy.
They were able to do it... just in
time for his mother to send him to
school.

back in London today working for Her
Majesty's POSTAL service.

Mail has issued stamps featuring the
front covers of six James Bond books.
It's to mark Ian Fleming's birthday
100th..
Fleming created the super spy in 1953.
The stamps were unveiled by actress
Samantha Bond, who played Miss
Moneypenny in a number of Bond movies.
