scene of a fire at a fertilizer plant
in Lynchburg.


The fire at the Royster-Clark
Fertilizer Plant is under control now,
but there is still no word on what
caused the flames.

It broke out around 7:30 and the
flames were visible for miles.


The building is a few miles from
Liberty University on Mayflower Drive.


We understand that no one was
inside at that time, but one


firefighter was taken to the hospital
and treated for smoke inhalation.


A HAZMAT Team was called to the
scene, but authorities say there is no
threat to the public at this time.

Some hope these new choices will
persuade state legislators to get tough

Should abortion clinics meet the
same requirements as emergency rooms?


The state Senate has said no for
several years now.


Delegate Matt Lohr will try again

inspiration to a local congregation.

Lexington Presbyterian Church
debuted its new pipe organ during
Sunday services.

*CG locator Lexington The old organ was destroyed by July 2000 fire in the summer of 2000.


Since that time, the church has
been using a borrowed organ from
another congregation.


But thanks to donations from
parishioners and the community, the
church is once again able to enjoy an
organ of its own.
