tell us they have not reached any
conclusions about a vehicle of interest
they seized earlier this week.
But they have provided more
information about their contacts with
the jeep and its driver, Jeffery Martin
Young, in the days before a fatal hit
and run.

VO-NAT Roanoke County Police had 11
contacts with Young and his white jeep,
between Friday January 25th, and Monday
January 28th. In each case, officers
found no evidence of criminal activity
and he was released.
Most of those encounters were
initiated by officers on patrol, while
others were called in by citizens like
Michael Morris. He saw Young on
Saturday, parked for more than two
hours in a crossover on route 221.

High School after news spread that a
student there - died in a car accident.

Police say she was driving on
Route 122 about two miles north of
Rocky Mount around 10:30 last night
when she ran off the road and into
several trees.
Today teachers said there was a
noticeable void among the student body

of his home tonight...

Southwest County was under control in
less than 30 minutes -- crews from Cave
Spring and Fort Lewis helped put out
the flames.
Investigators say it started in
the kitchen, and that side of the
duplex suffered heavy damage.

displaced homeowner find a place to

across Virginia, but they can't do
anything about it.

child pornography....
406 are in Roanoke, 139 in
Lynchburg and 121 in Blacksburg....
But police say they don't have
the resources or man- power to
investigate.
Alicia's Law would provide
funding for more officers and create
three new computer forensic labs.
It's a bill that's named after a
woman who was abused by an online
predator when she was 13.
Supporters say it's a matter of
life or death.
That's because more than half of
those who possess child pornography
physically abuse children.... one in
three of their victims are local.

Duncan replaces Carlton Courter
(Quarter) who was fired in December
after just one year on the job.

employees were indicted for misuse of
state funds.
Duncan says that's ancient
history though....

related to the first.
In this film, Taulbee ate only
McDonald's for three months not one.
He combined that with 10 hours of
exercise a week and actually lost
weight.
