< Center. The weekend is a split
decision. Saturday calls for mostly CK/SKYTRACKER sunny skies with highs in the mid and
upper 50s. A mild southwest breeze is
to thank for the above average

CK/WEATHERPRO temperatures. Too bad that won't last
all weekend....

Saturday night a strong cold front
crosses our area from the lower Great
Lakes and the Ohio River Valley. The
moisture is very limited with this
boundary, so most of us stay completely
dry. There could be some mountain snow
showers on the western facing slopes of
West Virginia (maybe 1-2" in
northwestern Greenbrier County by
Sunday morning) - but again, that's
pretty much where the moisture stops.
The bigger story will be the wind!

Westerly winds begin increasing by
Sunday morning. Some gusts could
approach 50mph in the higher elevations
west of the Roanoke Valley. The air
will be very dry Sunday (relative
humidity around 20-25%). With the dry
air, dry fuels and gusty winds, watch
for a high fire risk. Use caution
outdoors! Highs are forecast in the 40s
Sunday. That should occur fairly early
in the day.

Winds begin diminishing Sunday night
with clear skies. It will get very cold
with lows in the teens. Single digit
wind chill values are possible by

Monday morning.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Turning breezy.
Low: 59

SATUDAY NIGHT: Cloud intervals. Very
windy. Low: 36

SUNDAY: Windy, much cooler, sunny.
High: 49
