15 were injured.
Authorities have identified the

yesterday in a lecture hall, before
taking his own life.

The gunman behind the deadly rampage at
North Illinois Univerasity has been
identified as 27-year old Steven
Kazmierczak.

University officials say he graduated
from the Dekalb school, had been
considered a "stellar" student and had
never gotten into trouble while
attending NIU.
He took his own life after killing at
least 6. (at least 7) (at least 8).
So
far, his motive remains a mystery.

black
and wearing a stocking cap ...stepped
out from behind a stage door and opened

penalty.
Cutts cried on the stand during the
trial as he told jurors he accidentally
killed Jessie Davis by putting an elbow
to her throat.
He said he panicked and dumped her body
in a park.
Prosecutors say Cutts strangled
Davis over mounting child support.
The couple's young son was found
home alone and gave investigators their
first clues in the case.
He told investigators "Mommy's in the
rug," and "Daddy's mad."

Speed-NASCAR It only took two laps for things
:00 to get wild in the first race, as Brian
Vickers was tapped by Boris Said on the
high side of the track-- and then
spinning through a pack of cars -
somehow avoided everyone, and Vickers
would continue.
Dale Earnhardt, Junior had to
start in the back after changing
engines Wednesday, but he came to the
front quickly and took the lead--
passing his former teammate Martin
Truex, Junior.
Dale Junior would hang for the
win, holding off Reed Sorenson and Ryan
Newman.
Vickers and Kenny Wallace would
finish ninth and 11th, earning two of
four available spots for Sunday's
Daytona 500.
But the win goes to Dale Junior -
his second victory of Speedweeks.

the fans - especially the fans of
Toyota.

Speed-NASCAR Jeff Gordon was showing off his
:00 daughter Ella, and hoping to make it a
clean sweep for Hendrick Motorsports.
This 150 mile event was marred by
two red flag periods.
The longest of which was caused by
rookie Jacques Villenueve, who lost
control of his Toyota and collected at
least three others-- including fellow
rookie Dario Franchiti.
The race came down to a two lap
shootout.
Gordon got passed on the final lap by
Denny Hamlin, as Toyota goes to victory
lane for Joe Gibbs.
Dale Jarrett and John Andretti
raced their win for the final spots in
the Daytona 500.

They look like ants from this aerial
view... but thousands of people slugged
it out yesterday in San Francisco.
The huge pillow fight takes place
every Valentine's Day.
And from the looks of it, this year's
crowd was much larger than last year.
The tradition started in San
Francisco, and spread to other cities
across the world.
It's not a total free for all---
participants can only bring pillows
filled with natural materials.
