58 counts of misdemeanor animal
cruelty.
Earlier this month, the county
seized a herd of cattle from his farm
after receiving complaints of dead,
unburied dead cows on the property.
County leaders say they found
several cattle showing signs of
malnutrition.
Leonard has said he didn't have
enough money to feed the animals.
He's out of jail on a 5-thousand
dollar bond and will be in court on the
charges this Friday.

Girls' high school and Women's
college softball have huge followings
in this part of Virginia, and if you're
a fan of the game you need to make for
your calendars for Thursday, July 24th.
That night the US Olympic
softball team will play in Salem - at
Kiwanis Field.

The City of Salem will
reconfigure the infield for the
exhibition game that will be the last
on the Bound for Beijing Tour.
This is final year that softball
is played as an Olympic sport and the
stop in Salem will be bigger than the
last time the US played at the Moyer
complex in 2004.
Tickets go on sale this coming
Monday at the Salem Civic Center box
office.

advantage of being able to recruit the
type of Wrestlers he wants to his

new DVD is over- Blu Ray is the
winner.

VO-NAT Toshiba today says it will get out of
the HD DVD business.. that makes blu-
ray disc technology backed by Sony--
"the format" in high-def dvds.
Warner Borthers decision last month
to release movie discs only in the
blu-ray format made that decision
inevitable- that's according to Toshiba
execs.
If you own an HD DVD machine.. it
will still work.. but the decision will
reduce the number of new movies you'll
be able to watch on those machines.
