City police officer who wrecked a
cruiser near Pulaski.
He was CHARGED with driving under
the influence.

however he wasn't supposed to drive it

slide into the region Thursday night.
Clouds will continue to lower and
thicken. Temperatures will fall through
the 30s and into the mid 20s.
Initially, the atmosphere will be cold
enough to support snow showers late
Thursday evening, however, as warmer
air moves in aloft, snow showers will
change to sleet and then freezing rain
by Friday morning. One (possibly two
inches) of a snow/sleet accumulation is
possible through Friday morning. As
freezing rain develops, watch your
morning commute. Roads and sidewalks
could become slick - and it doesn't
take much ice to cause big problems!
Like the last couple of systems we've
dealt with this winter, this won't be a
prolonged event. After a cold start to
Friday with freezing rain, temperatures
will warm above freezing, meaning a
plain cold rain is expected for the

About 150 National Guard Soldiers
from the 116th Infantry Brigade just
got back from Iraq.
The soldiers had been there since
June 2007.
The soldiers flew into the
Richmond International Airport.

said about saving a boy's dog from icy
water.
The animal fell in and by the
time emergency crews got there, the
teenaged owner had already fallen in
three times trying to save his lab.
The responder at that
point, says she realized she wan't
going to stop him, so she had to save
the dog.
