pleaded guilty in federal court this
week to health care fraud.

court that she defrauded Medicaid and
Medicare health care programs to make
money.
The scheme happened for four
years at Cheek's practice at New River
Medical Associates in Dublin.
Cheek admitted to filing a series
of false claims for services she had
not performed.
She even filed fake claims for
services performed by two nurse
practitioners, while SHE was out of the
country.
Cheek will be sentenced in May.
She faces up to 10 year in
prison.

College confirms one of its students is
hospitalized with bacterial meningitis.
This is an infection of the fluid
surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
Bacterial meningitis is spread
through CLOSE personal contact-- such
as kissing and sharing drinking
glasses.
Health officials tell us those who
were potentially exposed have already
been identified, and are getting
treatment if needed.
They do not consider this a public
health concern.
The symptoms of this disease include
high fever, headaches, stiff neck,
nausea, and vomitting.
We are told the student's
condition is continuing to improve, and
they are doing much better today.

Thousands tried to cross into
Mitrovica, shouting 'Kosovo is ours!'

ran into a wall of UN riot police.
The rally comes a day after rioters set
fire to the American Embassy in
Belgrade - backlash for U.S. support
of Kosovo's declaration of
independence.
NOW the embassy's ordered the
evacuation of all non-essential staff
and family
members.
American troops are part of a NATO's
force also protecting Serb-controlled
areas in Kosovo. As anger threatens to
spill into those neighborhoods.

The House voted 62 to 36 to allow
concealed weapons permit holders to
carry guns into restaurants or clubs as
long as they don't drink alcohol while

several messages. He wishes it was
around several years ago when there was
tornado scare at his son's school.

systems.
But it's important to point out, some
use them just for emergencies, not snow
days.
The reason is simple, many don't want

Tech's home court - forced the
UVA-Georgia Tech game scheduled for

water began to puddle near the free-

They hoped it would stop on its own,
but no such luck.
So, the players were pulled off the
floor, and the game was called around
7:30.
There's no word at this time as
to when it will be made up.

on Saturday and fans attending that
game have a chance to show their
support for the folks at Northern
Illinois University.

Hokies United, will have 6,000 red and
black T-shirts for fans at Cassell
Coliseum attending the men's game with
the Yellow Jackets.
The shirts will feature the words
- "Hokies for Huskies" on the front of
them.
This is being done as a symbol of
support to all those in the Northern
Illinois University community, who were
affected by the shootings on campus
there last week.

People magazine reports J- Lo gave
birth to twins.. a boy and a girl.. at
a Long Island, New York hospital.
She and her husband..Latin pop
crooner Marc Anthony are described as
being "over the moon."
The boy and girl are J-Lo's first
children, but they're number three and
four for Anthony.
