jjadhon@wdbj7.com A new report says sales of
exising homes fell last month to their
lowest rate since 1999.

That news did little to scare
investers on Wall Street.

The Dow rose 189 points to close at
12,570.

Last Night according to overnight ratings.

Nielsen Media Research says preliminary
ratings for the 80th annual Academy
Awards telecast are 14 percent lower
than the previous least-watched
ceremony.

Some Hollywood watchers say a slate
of little known movies and fallout from
the writer's strike could be to blame
for the dismal ratings.
