Center. High pressure builds into the
Ohio Valley Monday with increasing
sunshine and much warmer temperatures.
Highs are forecast in the mid 50s.
You'll likely notice an increase in
high level clouds Monday
afternoon/evening as a storm system
from the southern Plains gathers
moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and
moves toward us. This moisture gets
better organized and falls in the form
of rain showers Tuesday as a cold front
crosses the area. The first-half of
Tuesday appears to be the wettest.
Generally, less than 0.40" of rain is
expected.
Tuesday night calls for clearing skies
and sharply colder temperatures. Lows
tank to the mid 20s.
Variably cloudy skies are set for
Wednesday with mountain snow showers on
the western slopes of Greenbrier
County, West Virginia. Several inches
of snow are possible in that location
through Wednesday night.
Thursday is sunny and cool with highs
near 40. Friday should be dry, but with
more clouds. Highs are expected to be
warmer near 50.
Currently, the first weekend of March

School.
They were both 16-years-old.
Friends came to the crash site
yesterday to pay their respects...
leaving roses in show of their love for
the two.
The teens died when Patton ran
his car off of Carver Road and hit a
tree early Saturday morning.
Richard Boyce was a childhood
friend of Patton's and went to school
with both boys.

The cause of the accident is
still under investigation.
Boyce says two other people were
in the car that night, including his
cousin.
He's listed in fair condition at
Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
No word on the condition of the

Construction is slated to begin
this week on the Downtown Moneta
project.
The 85 acre development will
include a mix of restaurants and
retail, with rows of apartments and
townhomes.
The new town center will connect
with the original "Downtown Moneta,"
which lost most of its foot traffic
when the one-22 bypass was built in the
1990s.

Center. High pressure builds into the
Ohio Valley Monday with increasing
sunshine and much warmer temperatures.
Highs are forecast in the mid 50s.
You'll likely notice an increase in
high level clouds Monday
afternoon/evening as a storm system
from the southern Plains gathers
moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and
moves toward us. This moisture gets
better organized and falls in the form
of rain showers Tuesday as a cold front
crosses the area. The first-half of
Tuesday appears to be the wettest.
Generally, less than 0.40" of rain is
expected.
Tuesday night calls for clearing skies
and sharply colder temperatures. Lows
tank to the mid 20s.
Variably cloudy skies are set for
Wednesday with mountain snow showers on
the western slopes of Greenbrier
County, West Virginia. Several inches
of snow are possible in that location
through Wednesday night.
Thursday is sunny and cool with highs
near 40. Friday should be dry, but with
more clouds. Highs are expected to be
warmer near 50.
Currently, the first weekend of March
calls for partly sunny skies, with a
few showers early Saturday morning.
Highs near 50.
MONDAY: Sunny and warmer. High: 55
MONDAY NIGHT: Becoming cloudy, showers
late. Low: 40
