10 KMC AM CBS Primary Wra livegen Campaign 2008 4038 --
GRAPHIC=CAMPAIGN 2008 Don't call it a comeback-- but it

still was a good day for Hillary
Clinton.

Clinton won primaries yesterday in
Ohio,

Texas, and Rhode Island.

But those primary wins don't
NECESSARILY translate into delegate
votes.

It's more clear cut on the G-O-P
side... Senator John McCain now has

enough delegates to win the Republican
presidential nomination .

DOUBLE BOXES=KIMBERLY/TARA DOUBLE BOXES

Tara Mergener joins us now from
Washington with more.

She's not the comeback kid just yet--

(SOT HILLARY CLINTON): "WE'RE GOING ON,

WE'RE GOING STRONG, AND WE'RE GOING

ALL THE WAY!!!" (nat crowd )

Primary wins in showdown states Ohio
and Texas may have broken Barack
Obama's

momentum, but it remains to be seen if
Hillary Clinton can overcome the math.

She's put a dent in his delegate
lead...but since the votes were close
and the

delegates are awarded proportionally,
last night's results don't turn this

race upside down.

As if to underscore this point, Obama
turned his speech away from his rival

to draw a contrast with John McCain.

(SOT BARACK OBAMA): "HE HAS SEEN WHERE

GEORGE BUSH HAS TAKEN OUR COUNTRY AND

HE PROMISES TO KEEP US ON THE VERY
SAME COURSE."

Still - momentum is important and
Clinton's big night should help stop

some of

the powerful super-delegates from
jumping ship. But more than anything -
the

swing suggests Democrats aren't yet
ready to anoint anyone.

(nats)

The democratic tug-of-war looks
destined to go to the distance, but
John

McCain's already hit his magic number.

(SOT JOHN MCCAIN): "I WILL BE THE

REPUBLICAN NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE

UNITED STATES!" (nat crowd)

The Arizona senator's clean sweep puts
him over the top in delegates and he

can look to November.

(SOT): "THE CONTEST BEGINS TONIGHT.'

He's got some challenges...His largely
bare-bones campaign lags far behind the

democrats in fund-raising and
organization and he must ramp it up for
the

general election.

Most potential jurors did NOT
know Morva, the victims or their family

Out of a pool of more than 60
people in Washington County - only one
person had a link to the case.

Most of those excused from jury
duty had stong opinions either for or
against the death penalty.

Morva is accused of escaping
police custody and killing a security

The case was moved to Abingdon,

Once deemed too expensive because
of the need for more buses and drivers,
school administrators now believe they
can go from three start times to two
without additional expense.

The schedule under consideration
would have all of the city's elementary
schools start around 8am...

Students in middle school and
high school would be able to sleep a
little longer... with their classes
starting around 9am.

Out of a pool of more than 60
people in Washington County - only one
person had a link to the case.

Most of those excused from jury
duty had stong opinions either for or
against the death penalty.

Morva is accused of escaping
police custody and killing a security

The case was moved to Abingdon

She's not the comeback kid just yet--

(SOT HILLARY CLINTON): "WE'RE GOING ON,

WE'RE GOING STRONG, AND WE'RE GOING

ALL THE WAY!!!" (nat crowd )

Primary wins in showdown states Ohio
and Texas may have broken Barack
Obama's

momentum, but it remains to be seen if
Hillary Clinton can overcome the math.

She's put a dent in his delegate
lead...but since the votes were close
and the

delegates are awarded proportionally,
last night's results don't turn this

race upside down.

As if to underscore this point, Obama
turned his speech away from his rival

to draw a contrast with John McCain.

(SOT BARACK OBAMA): "HE HAS SEEN WHERE

GEORGE BUSH HAS TAKEN OUR COUNTRY AND

HE PROMISES TO KEEP US ON THE VERY
SAME COURSE."

Still - momentum is important and
Clinton's big night should help stop
some of

the powerful super-delegates from
jumping ship. But more than anything -
the

swing suggests Democrats aren't yet
ready to anoint anyone.

(nats)

The democratic tug-of-war looks
destined to go to the distance, but
John

McCain's already hit his magic number.

(SOT JOHN MCCAIN): "I WILL BE THE

REPUBLICAN NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE

UNITED STATES!" (nat crowd)

The Arizona senator's clean sweep puts
him over the top in delegates and he

can look to November.

(SOT): "THE CONTEST BEGINS TONIGHT.'

He's got some challenges...His largely
bare-bones campaign lags far behind the

democrats in fund-raising and
organization and he must ramp it up for
the

general election.
