the net worth of U-S households for the
first time in 5 years.
A Federal Reserve report also shows the
amount of equity Americans that have in

CITIgroup says it's looking to cut its
exposure to home loans by $45 billion
dollars and overhaul its
residential mortgage business in an
effort to save $200 million a year.
The nation's largest bank lost nearly
$10 billion in the 4th Quarter of 2007
largely because of home loans gone bad.

waiting for the February jobs report.
On Thursday, renewed concerns about the

fine for failing to inspect older
planes for cracks. The F-A-A
says the carrier failed to complete the

They're trying to figure out if
there's a link between yesterday's
bombing of a military recruiting
station in Times Square and letters
sent to at least 10 Congressmen.
The letters included a photo of the
recruiting station BEFORE the bombing,
a claim of responsibility, along with
other items.

talking to a person they believe MAY be
connected to letters claiming
responsibility for the attack.
The manila envelopes started showing up
in Congressional offices just hours
after the blast. They contained at
least one photo each of a man standing
in
front of the recruiting station with a
message reading --QUOTE-- "Happy New
Year - We Did It."
Also reportedly included was a
manifesto railing against the Iraq War.

CAPITOL HILL SOURCES SAY THE LETTERS
HAVE SHOWN UP IN AS MANY AS TEN
OFFICES,
AND MORE ARE EXPECTED TODAY. POLICE
HAVE ASKED EVERYONE NOT TO OPEN
ANYTHING
THAT LOOKS SUSPICIOUS TO PRESERVE ANY
POSSIBLE EVIDENCE.

Law enforcement has NOT established a
direct link between the letters and the
bombing but the alleged anti-war
manifesto would seem to fit with the
target.

DIRECTED AT THE RECRUITING STATION
INSULTS EVERY ONE OF OUR BRAVE MEN AND

Authorities in New York are also
looking at similarities between this
attack
and the bombings of the Mexican
consulate in 2005 AND the British
consulate
last October. All were carried out in
the early morning hours by someone on a
bike....

Police are asking that any additional

drop any charges in O.J. Simpson's
kidnapping and armed robbery trial.

A Montgomery County sheriff's deputy
was the first to take the stand in the
capital murder trial of William Morva.
Deputy Russell Quesenberry took
Morva from the jail to the hospital in
2006... prosecutors say Morva beat
Quesenberry unconscious and took his

one of the payday lending reforms
passed in the General Assembly.

famous syrup.
But one week before the annual
Maple Festival begins in Highland
County, a fire destroyed one of the
premiere sugar camps that processes it.

Puffenbarger's Sugar Camp, one of the
longest-running in Highland county.
The fire hit last week,
destroying the building, the equipment,
family photos, and at least 300 gallons
of fresh maple syrup.
This comes after a great season
