The company had already

The awards dinner was held

as the winner of the 250-thousand
dollar prize.

slowly improve, however. This morning
will feature clouds and periods of
CK/WEATHERPRO showers and drizzle as low pressure
tracks across the area. High
temperatures for the day (for most
locations) will occur this morning.
Saturday afternoon: Drier air returns
as our current storm system quickly
races toward New England. This will
mean clearing skies, but cooler
temperatures with gusty wind. Gusts
could approach 50mph this afternoon,
especially in the higher terrain.
Temperatures will begin falling into
the 30s later today; mainly west of the
Blue Ridge Parkway.
Saturday night: Skies will be mostly
clear with lows much colder in the 20s.
Wind chill values will be in the single
digits! Winds are expected from the
west overnight 20-30mph with higher
gusts.
Weather-wise, there will be a lot less
going on Sunday! Expect sunny skies
with highs near 50. It will still be
breezy at times, but not as windy as
it's going to be today.
Monday through Thursday call for partly

Researchers found starting out slowly
and then building up yielded MUCH
better results than trying to do too
much too quickly, especially after
years of inactivity.

Scientists have developed what they
believe is the first blood test that
accurately detects ovarian cancer at an
early stage.
They identified six chemical markers in
the blood and found measuring them
together can detect 95-percent of
tumors.
A larger evaluation of the new test is
underway.

Cutting salt in kids' diets could be a
short-cut to keeping them slim.
British researchers have found that
children who ate less salt drank fewer
sodas and could reduce their risk of
high blood pressure and obesity.

inside a California beach hotel room.

They uncovered the body of a woman
packed in "dry ice" inside a large
plastic container.
Authorities say she was fully
clothed and well preserved. She
appeared to be in her 20 or 30s.
A drug warrant is what initially led
them to the search the hotel room. The
man who was staying in the room has
been arrested on drug charges. Police
are now investigating whether he is
involved in the woman's death.

the motor can overheat... posing a fire
hazard.
The Strike Force air compressors
