the three capital murder charges,
saying prosecutors failed to prove
pre-meditation, but that motion was
denied.
The Commonwealth's last four
witnesses took the stand today.
An investigator with the
Montgomery County Sheriff's Department
read a letter in court written by Morva
to his mother in September 2005.
In it, Morva said he would quote:
"kick an unarmed guard in the neck and
make him drop, then I will stomp him
until he is as dead as I will be.
Morva also wrote about the
cramped conditions in the Montgomery
County Jail and how sick he was.
A medical examiner, a DNA expert
and forensic scientist also testified.
The medical examiner said the
victims - Derrick McFarland and Eric
Sutphin died immediately, and did not
suffer.

that at least 41 million Americans are
drinking water laced with
pharmaceuticals like anti

The five month Associated Press probe
found drugs in the water supply of at
least 24 major metropolitan areas.
Researchers say the amounts found are
very small and pose no short term
dangers, but no one knows what the
long term consequences may be.
When people take drugs like Tylenol or
antibiotics...not all the medication is
absorbed by the body...and the rest is
excreted as waste.
But this study indicated some water
treatment plants are not removing all
drug residues.

Most home water filtration systems are
not designed to detect drugs.
(Dr. Sean Kenniff reports, New York )
And if you are a bottle water
drinker...you may not be in the clear.
Many
companies use the same municipal water
supplies to fill their bottles and
there are actually more stringent
requirements for tap water.
Water providers rarely disclose the
results of pharmaceutical screenings,
but
all maintain their water is safe to
drink. And it should be emphasized the
drug concentrations found are
tiny...less than a drop in a glass of
water.
But now... the pressure will be on...
to find out whether those trace amounts
are enough to cause any harm.

(NAT - obama rally)
Barack Obama leads in the delegate
count. He added to his total Saturday,
with a win in Wyoming... and he's
hoping to do the same tomorrow, in
Mississippi. His chances are good --
that state has a large number of
African-American voters, like the
other southern states he has won so
far.
(NAT - clinton rally)
Hillary Clinton is focusing on a bigger
prize ahead next month -
Pennsylvania... while her husband
rallies voters in Mississippi. Even if
Obama takes Mississippi -- Clinton
will end up with some delegates.
33 are up for grabs for the
Democrats... And they'll be awarded
proportionally.
(STANDUP BRIDGE: Susan Roberts / CBS
News / The White House) - "Both sides
know, the Superdelegates are watching
closely. More than 300-of them haven't
endorsed either candidate. Clinton's
recent victories may have convinced
some
of them to hold off on making a choice
-- until 'after' the primaries."
Democrats are now raising money for a
do-over in Florida and Michigan. Both
states were stripped of their delegates
for moving up their primaries. With an
unexpectedly close race... voters may
get to vote again.
(SOT: HOWARD DEAN / DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL
COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN) - "EVERY VOTER
GETS A BALLOT IN THE MAIL. IT'S
COMPREHENSIVE. YOU GET TO VOTE IF
YOU'RE IN
IRAQ OR A NURSING HOME - IT'S NOT A
BAD WAY TO DO THIS."
A mail-in vote would cost around
6-million dollars. But neither the
states
nor the party want to pay for it...
and fundraising for a do-over has just
begun. Susan Roberts, News 7.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. started on
the front row and led the first 39
laps, putting 12 cars a lap down in
that time. He stayed in the top 10
most of the day.
Past the halfway point,
Emporia, Virginia native Elliott Sadler
spun out for the third time, just
barely rubbing the wall to bring out
the caution.
Carl Edwards went after his
3rd win in a row.
He was leading, but went up in smoke
blowing an engine about 50 laps from
the finish.
Kyle Busch was dominant in
Saturday's Nationwide Race, but didn't
have anything to show for it.
Yesterday he made up for that,
blistering the field and taking the
checkered flag nearly 3 seconds ahead
of his teammate Tony Stewart.
Dale, Jr. was third, Greg Biffle
fourth and Jeff Gordon 5th.
The win by Busch is the first for
Toyota.
And at the age of 22, he's the youngest
winner in the history of the track.

About 300- thousand people turned out
yesterday for the annual South Side
Irish Parade.
The early St. Patrick's Day event
dates back to 19-79, when 17 children
marched in their neighborhood.
While donning green hats, beads and
kilts...people also wore winter
coats... with temperatures only in the
20s.
The parade is traditionally held on
the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day,
which created a problem because Easter
is early this spring.
Organizers decided to move up the
date so it wouldn't conflict with Palm
Sunday.
