conviction.

Prosecution then called 11
witnesses to the stand as the jury
decides to give Morva a sentence of
life in jail or the death penalty.

for a man involved in a shooting on
Lafayette Boulevard.

The man entered this home on the
13-hundred block around 11-45 yesterday
morning and allegedly tried to rob two
men who were inside painting.


He ended up shooting one of
them...20 year old Darrius B. Doctor of
Roanoke.


His cousin ran for help..as the
suspect got away.

Memorial Hospital. The hospital is not
releasing his condition at this time.

Police describe the suspect as a
black male about 5 feet 9 ,medium
build, wearing a burgundy jacket, grey
baseball style cap and a blue and white
bandana.

Center. An area of high pressure will
stay in play this week with plenty of
sunshine and above average
temperatures. Afternoon highs should
reach the low 60s with partly to mostly
sunny skies. Winds will be busy, out of
the west at 10 to 15mph. This pattern
will continue into late Thursday. A
series of disturbances will come in
late in the week, offering a 40% chance
of showers Friday and slightly greater
chance Saturday. Even with the clouds
and showers, weekend highs will stay in
the 50s with lows in the 40s. Look for
a cool down Sunday with an isolated
morning showers, then partial clearing
late. Highs will fall into the upper
40s. The start of next week is quiet as
sunshine returns along with average
highs in the upper 50s�WEDNESDAY:
