Morva...HE might learn today if he
he'll die for killing two men in
Montgomery County.
Jurors are going back to work this
morning on the sentencing phase of the
trial.

VO-NAT Morva was found guilty Tuesday of
killing a security guard and a
Montgomery County sheriff's deputy.
Yesterday, the jury heard from
friends who shared fond memories of
Morva, before his reputation turned
violent.

But it was a forensic
psychiatrist who gave the most insight
into the 26-year-old.
He explained that Morva has a
complex personality disorder found in
only three percent of the population.
The jury will now decide if he
should receive life in prison without
parole rather than the death penalty.

this month in Grayson County may have
fled the country, that's according to
investigators.

Francisco Garcia De La Fuente
faces two first-degree murder counts.
Deputies say De La Fuente was
in the United States illegally and was
living in Galax at the time of the
murders.
They think he has fled to
Mexico.

lighter is said to be the cause of a
fire at a Roanoke apartment complex
over the weekend.

Sunday The fire broke out Sunday
afternoon on the first floor balcony of
this building at the Summit Apartments.
It quickly spread and caused so
much damage 17 tenants have been
displaced.
Firefighters are hoping what
happened here will send a message about
the dangers of playing with matches and
lighters.

Management at the Summit says it
has been able to find new apartments
for everyone who wanted one.
It could be four months or even
longer before the apartment building is
livable again.
Damage estimates from the fire

Hirsbrunner in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. As high pressure slides south,
southerly winds will continue Thursday,
pushing a warm front our way during the
afternoon. Clouds will increase a bit
ahead of the front, but no rain is
expected. Temperatures will climb close
to 70 under partly to mostly sunny
skies. Winds will also increase to
around 20mph. Friday, southerly
moisture will combine with a weak cold
front coming in from the west. As the
front passes south it will stall in
North Carolina, bringing scattered rain
showers (40%) Friday. Take an umbrella
if you're headed out Saturday. Showers
are likely off and on (60%) with
temperatures cooling into the upper
50s. With several waves of disturbances
coming through, a lingering shower or
two can't be ruled out Sunday as well,
with highs near 50. Generally, the
weekend looks cloudy, cooler and
showery. The start of next week is
quiet as sunshine returns along with
average highs in the upper 50s.Looks
like the next chance of showers (after
this weekend) won't arrive until next
