murder-suicide.

Neighbors describe
Jeffrey Horn as a TROUBLED man in a
downward spiral.

Police concluded that the
44-year old... shot his girlfriend and
then himself.

Thursday Night The TAC Team... blocked off
Holmes Street... in the "northeastern
corner" of the city Thursday night.

Police had gone to Horn's

house.... after he left a "suspicious"
message at Lewis Gale Clinic.

90-minutes after it started....
the stand-off was over.

They found Horn dead inside. His
43-year old girlfriend... Donna
Dudley... had also been shot.

Laura Goad says Horn had often
made weird comments to HER.... as she
was growing up.

burns nearly half of a Roanoke man's...
10 acre property.

It all started with this lawn
tractor.

Dave Schippers says he was
mowing the leaves when he noticed
smoke.

Turns out the motor's exhaust
IGNITED the leaves.....wind helped
spread the fire towards the back of his
house.

Firefighters from the county and
the city.... got it under control in an
hour.

Schippers home was NOT severely
damaged..but his back deck is a total
loss.

In the meantime....he and his
family are staying with friends.

Memorial Boulevard..

Harris..... was leaving the parking lot
of the Biscuitville Restaurant
yesterday... when he pulled into the
path of this Toyota Corolla.

The force of the impact caused
the sedan to flip over.

The driver was partially THROWN
from the car but suffered only minor
injuries. A parked car was also STRUCK
by the pickup.

Harris is charged with failure to
yeild the right of way.

winds as high as 60 miles per hour.

It caught most people of
guard...because they didn't get any
warning.
