left one man dead.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a
call at around 8:40 last night,
of a man laying in the road on Route
600 in the Paint Bank area.
They discovered a man dead from
a gunshot wound to the chest
. The victim's name has not been
released but officals say he was 54
years old and from Bluefield,West
Virginia
The motive is unknown, but there
is a suspect in the case.

ONE OF THE TIES HOLDING A CRANE TO A
SKYSCRAPER UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
All of a sudden I heard an explosion.
I looked up to the right and the
support
beam had cracked and I saw this thing
starting to tumble towards me..
THE CRANE FELL FROM ITS 19-STORY PERCH,
DEMOLISHING PARTS OF THREE BUILDINGS. A
FOUR-STORY TOWNHOUSE WAS COMPLETELY
CRUSHED WHEN THE CRANE FELL ON IT. FOUR
PEOPLE, BELIEVED TO BE CONSTRUCTION
WORKERS, WERE KILLED. TEN OTHER PEOPLE
WERE
INJURED, THREE CRITICALLY.
I ran into the living room and I looked
out the window and I saw this -- the
crane structure was tilting right into
our window
RESIDENTS IN THE AREA HAVE BEEN
EVACUATED AND FIRST RESPONDERS CONTINUE
TO LOOK
FOR SURVIVORS TRAPPED IN THE RUBBLE.
we want to make sure that there is
nobody else alive, that we can at least
detect with the dogs or listening
devices because in doing that you may
destabilize the pile of rubble and fall
further onto somebody.
HE'S NOT OFFICIALLY NEW YORK GOVERNOR
UNTIL MONDAY, BUT DAVID PATERSON WAS
ALSO
ON THE SCENE.
This is going to be a difficult
recovery. The crane is still balanced
on the
building and to take that down it is
going to take a tremendous effort and
very
grave risk to the construction
workers, fire fighters, and police are
going to

the Volvo plant in Dublin.
But, workers won't be heading
back on Monday.

A union spokesman told News 7 the
company did address its concerns over
health, safety and recall rights.
Workers will return to the job
March 24th.

off the job at midnight on January 31.
The new contract is good for
three years.

Center. Sunshine returns today with
highs in the mid 50s - just slightly
CK/WEATHERPRO below average for today's date. Winds
will be breezy from the northwest. Some
gusts will be around 25mph as low
pressure strengthens off the Atlantic
coast.
High pressure settles in tonight with
clear skies and light wind. There will
be a chill in the air with lows in the
upper 20s and lower 30s.
St. Patrick's Day (Monday) will be
pleasant as highs warm to near 60 with
sunny skies. Highs are forecast in the
low to mid 60s Tuesday more sunshine.
Wednesday is a transitional day with
variably cloudy skies and passing
showers. A stray thunderstorm isn't out
of the question. Highs will be warm
ahead of the front, topping out around
70!
The rest of the week appears dry, with
mostly to partly sunny skies.
Temperatures will be cooler for the
late week; in the mid 50s.

the right plant and placing it in the
right spot is key.
No matter what type of plant you
have, you want to start off with good
soil and mix it with mulch.
The worse thing you could do is
water it a little bit each day.
