They're out now but authorities
say they all look suspicious.

the flames for about two hours starting
at around 7:45 yesterday.

They were mostly on the east side
of Mill Mountain off of Fishburn
Parkway.

Authorities are asking people to
avoid the area as much as possible.

They'll return today to
investigate the cause but they say it's
possible it wasn't an accident.

County on Saturday.

The Craig County Sheriff's Office
says a 54-year-old man from Bluefield,
West Virginia was found dead in the
middle of the road on Route 600 around
8-30 in the evening.

One man who declined to be on
camera tells News 7 a neighbor
approached him covered in blood that
night.

He also says the man had been
drinking.

Investigators do have a suspect
in this case but are not releasing the
identity of the possible shooter or the
victim.

loose yesterday when a truck carrying
the insects wrecked in Sacramento,
California.

(END SOT) The Fed's rare weekend rate cut is just

the latest effort to prevent the credit
crunch from triggering a full-blown
recession.

The central bank acted after a Wall
Street shocker....Cash-strapped Bear
Stearns forced to sell to JP Morgan
after drowning in a sea of bad debt. A
week ago, Bear stock opened at
60-dollars. JP Morgan paid only 2
dollars a share.

EXPERT): "BEAR STEARNS IS NOT ALONE BY
ANY MEANS IN THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION.
THESE SECURITIES ARE SPREAD THROUGHOUT

The housing collapse and credit crisis
have connected as a one-two punch.
Financial institutions are racking up
multi-BILLION dollar losses when
mortgage investments go down the drain.
And foreclosures have soared as home
prices slump. It's a vicious cycle that
shows little sign of slowing.

only so much they can do. Rate cuts
take a while to have any effect and
some analysts say continuing them will
only fuel inflation and make matters

cut looks likely. The Fed meets again
tomorrow and is expected to slash rates

just don't see the problem.

don't think their kids are dangerously
heavy, and many think they're about the
right weight.

Experts say if the parent fails to
recognize the problem, odds are the
child will too.

A new report finds nearly a third of
antidepressant drug studies are never
published, and nearly all just happen
to show the drug being tested didn't
work.

Even if it's not deliberate, experts
say this is bad news for patients, as
it may lead doctors to make bad
prescription decisions.

Pregnant women who eat a Mediterranean
diet rich in fruits and vegetables tend
to have children less likely to develop
asthma or allergies later in life.

Eating more than 8 servings of
vegetables and fish more than three
times a week seems to boost the
protection even more.

At least five fires burned on top
of Mill Mountain last night and there
may have been more.

They're out now and were located
mostly on the east side of the mountain
off of Fishburn Parkway.

The Craig County Sheriff's Office

is still investigating who shot and
killed a 54-year-old man from
Bluefield, West Virginia.

Investigators do have a suspect
in this case but are not releasing the
identity of the possible shooter or the

Triennial School Census are getting
ready to go out.

State officials say it's
important for parents to fill it out
even if their child isn't enrolled in

Two people are dead after a small plane
crashed in Smyth County.

State police say the plane went
down in a remote area about five miles
North from the Mountain Empire Airport
in Marion around ten thirty yesterday
morning.

CHANNEL=A At least five fires burned on top

heading back to work at the Volvo plant
in Dublin.

Late Saturday night the union
ratified the company's most recent
contract offer by nearly 90 percent.

Employees will collect
umemployment for the coming week and
