Center. High pressure anchored over
the Great Lakes is moving east
producing mild southwest winds. This
will mean another comfortable day
Tuesday with afternoon highs in the
upper 50s. Moisture will begin to
increase during the day. While it will
be dry Tuesday, clouds will thicken
during the afternoon and into Tuesday
night as a low pressure system prepares
to move north out of the Gulf of Mexico
and into the Great Lakes. By late
Tuesday night, a few of the clouds may
be full enough to produce some light
showers in the mountains. However, the
best chance of regional showers won't
arrive until lunchtime Wednesday. We
could even have some stronger storms
with gusty winds as the low pushes a
cold front through. Showers will taper
off by Wednesday evening. Behind the
front, a steep pressure rise will
produce gusty winds for everyone
Wednesday night. Right now, Thursday
though Sunday call for fair skies and

County's sheriff and a town police
chief took center stage at a meeting in
Charlotte Court House last night.
The chief of Drakes Branch says
the county sheriff's office is leaving
him out of the loop - and he thinks
that's putting lives in danger.

last night's town council meeting.
Council members gave Sheriff
Thomas Jones a chance to explain why he
won't let chief Tommy Galbreath access

he'll know when crimes are happening in
his jurisdiction.
But the Sheriff says it's a
private channel, and it needs to stay

in Craig County is now in jail in West
Virginia.

Williams.

behind a murder in Henry County.

authorities say three men walked into
an apartment on Irwin Street and shot
Heath Clark Alloway in the neck.
The 26-year-old died a short time

over the weekend in Smyth County.
The pilot, Aditya (Audit-Yah) Roy

Saunders was killed last April,

Mountain.

Fire crews say one clue that the
fires are arson- is they were all off
of a walking trail - making it very
accessible.
The fires were also fairly close
to each other.
It took crews about two hours to
put out the flames Sunday night.
A total of two acres burned.

Summit in Roanoke made this building
unlivable.
Of the ten-units, only three of
the tenants had renter's insurance.
A landlord is responsible for the
building -not the items inside - no
matter who started the fire.

Center. High pressure anchored over
the Great Lakes is moving east
producing mild southwest winds. This
will mean another comfortable day
Tuesday with afternoon highs in the
upper 50s. Moisture will begin to
increase during the day. While it will
be dry Tuesday, clouds will thicken
during the afternoon and into Tuesday
night as a low pressure system prepares
to move north out of the Gulf of Mexico
and into the Great Lakes. By late
Tuesday night, a few of the clouds may
be full enough to produce some light
showers in the mountains. However, the
best chance of regional showers won't
arrive until lunchtime Wednesday. We
could even have some stronger storms
with gusty winds as the low pushes a
cold front through. Showers will taper
off by Wednesday evening. Behind the
front, a steep pressure rise will
produce gusty winds for everyone
Wednesday night. Right now, Thursday
though Sunday call for fair skies and
highs around 60. TUESDAY: Increasing
clouds. Comfortable. High: 57 TUESDAY
