Kenny Tran is due in court later today.

a felony charge of sexual battery.

in court on Friday.
It shows a customer's visit to
the salon last month when she said she
was abused by Tran.
After viewing the video during a
preliminary hearing last week, the
judge dismissed the charge.

It's his first of six jury trials
on charges that he sexually abused six
clients.

Children's Miracle Network about doing
a show as a fundraiser.
The result is the Miracle Tour
which begins Friday night at the
Jefferson Center.
The show is "Contempt of Court"
and it's a series of three civil
cases... sort of like the show Night
Court from the 80s... here, the
audience decides who wins the cases.
But it's more interactive than
that... at this dinner theater, some
audience members will become part of
the show.

Halifax and Charlotte counties was shut
down in November.
Four of the steel beams
supporting the bridge have what
engineers call "critical fractures."
Replacing it would cost nearly
five million dollars - and since the
bridge carries less than 500 vehicles
per day, V-DOT may abandon the bridge.
The people that use it, not too
happy....Jennifer Nichols is
circulating a petition to keep the
bridge open.

than two dozen vehicles were broken
into over the weekend.
Police arrested 18 year-old
Thomas Clyde Turpin of Pulaski.
He's charged with three felony
charges related to these weekend
break-ins.

in equipment's been stolen from a
Roanoke County school in at least
three-different incidents.

Since mid February- a laptop, a
projector and several digital cameras
have been taken from Community School.
The latest break in happened less
than two-weeks ago just after the
school changed its locks.
Police say a hidden camera
recorded a young man in a classroom
after hours.
The video hasn't been released,
but police say it appears to be a
teenager with a slight build, about 5
feet six and wearing gray pants and
hoodie, along with a brown jacket.
