Fire crews plan to be out all
night keeping an eye on a brush fire in
Bedford County.

It broke out this afternoon in a
wooded area off of Jeter's JEETERS
Chapel Road in Stewartsville.

Firefighters believe a
stump-grinding crew working in the area
hit a rock, which caused a spark,
igniting the brush fire.

About 30 acres have burned.
We're told the fire is currently about
85-percent contained.

<< Good evening, I'm meteorologist
Robin Reed along with meteorologist
Brent Watts in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. Wednesday turned out to be a
bonus day as sunshine beat out the
clouds and temperatures soared. The
next few days look warmer than normal
with readings in the 70s. The latest
SkyTracker 7 forecast model shows
increasing clouds and a 20-40% chance
of afternoon showers over the next few

days. The southwest wind flow will keep
the daytime highs in the 70s and the
overnight lows in the mid 40s and low
50s. So far the forecast for
Martinsville on Sunday looks dry,
breezy and much cooler. For weather

a rise in sea level from this latest
