Polland Aprisa POLLAND APRISA
21-year old Michael M. Polland is
charged with two felonies.
He was arrested February 29th by
the Department of Forestry for
allegedly setting two fires in the last
year.

The first one sparked up on
February 28th in the Huddleston area of
Bedford County.
Officials with the Department of
Forestry found a footprint at the scene
of that fire.

A team of bloodhounds picked up
on a scent from that footprint and led
investigators to Polland's home.
Officials say he admitted to
setting the fire and another one that
happened August 29th in the same area.

of Forestry says locating an arson
suspect like this is very rare.

If convicted, he faces up to 5
years in prison for each felony - and a
fine of up to 25-hundred dollars.

looking at several other suspicious
fires that happened near Huddleston in
the last year.
They tell me Polland may be
responsible for those as well, but
right now they don't have any evidence
linking him to those fires.

could spent 35 years in prison for
lying about it.
A federal jury convicted
44-year-old Randall Moneymaker
yesterday. He claimed he had been on
active duty since the early 1980s,
serving as a Ranger in places such as
Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Prosecutors say he used his
status as a wounded soldier to get more
than $18- thousand dollars in military
disability payments.
Moneymaker also worked as a
recruiter for the Army's Active Guard
Reserve.
He also faces a fine of more than
$1 and half million dollars when he's
sentenced.

bonus day as sunshine beat out the
clouds and temperatures soared. The
next few days look warmer than normal
with readings in the 70s. The latest
SkyTracker 7 forecast model shows
increasing clouds and a 20-40% chance
of afternoon showers over the next few
days. The southwest wind flow will keep
the daytime highs in the 70s and the
overnight lows in the mid 40s and low

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

almost every British newspaper.
The image was taken when Bruni was
one of the world's most coveted
models.
The British press has focused on
her physical beauty and her prior
relationships with British rock icons
Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton. Some
seemed concern about what she would
wear and how she would conduct herself
when she met the queen.
Despite the uproar, more Brits
seemed upset that Sarkozy does not
speak a word of English.
Bruni reportedly speaks five languages.
