This all started around midnight.
The first call to police came
from a car that was hit at exit 114 on
I-64.
Police don't know if those were
the first shots fired. That was just
the first call recieved.
Police say a total of five cars
were hit.
And this afternoon, another car
was found that appears to have been
shot.
But police don't know yet if that
was connected. Despite all the
commotion this morning, traffic has
been moving as usual up 1 64 today and
that's exactly what police want.

A Forest Fire in Augusta County
is burning tonight-- and still growing.
It jumped more than one thousand
acres.

The state's hated abusive driver
fees are officially gone.

two bills that repeal the fees.
They also ensure citizens who
paid them get a refund....
No action is necessary, the
Department of Accounts will
automatically mail them.

Employment Commission offices in
Southside aren't closing up shop after
all..
Governor Kaine says two V-E-C
offices ARE closing, but they WON'T be
in Martinsville or Danville.

Police in Danville are
investigating after two suspects
allegedly robbed a cab driver at
gunpoint.
Authorities responded to the call
in the 100 black of Vance Street around
eleven last night.
They say the two suspects entered
the cab with guns and demanded cash
from the driver.
The suspects then took off on
foot.

Robin Reed in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. Expect a rather mild night
with lows in the low and mid 50s. Skies
will be variably cloudy. Light showers
skirted just to our north Thursday, and
that's exactly where they will stay
tonight. The Greenbrier Valley and west
central Highlands may see a sprinkle -
but that's it. Friday may start with a
little sunshine mixed with clouds, but
with time clouds will thicken as the
boundary to our north moves into the
NEWS7 viewing area. Showers should
develop throughout the day from
northwest to southeast. We'll be warm
ahead of the front, with highs reaching
the low and mid 70s. A stray
thunderstorm is also possible during
the afternoon. Friday will be breezy at
times. Showers continue Friday night
with lows cooler in the low and mid
40s. High pressure will drive in much
cooler and drier air Saturday. In fact,
after showers Friday night, we'll
likely become mostly sunny Saturday.
Highs are forecast around the mid 50s!
The Highlands may actually stay in the
40s - much cooler! Clouds will make an
attempt to move in from the west
Sunday; and a few light showers may
also form just to the west of Roanoke.
A "cool air wedge" will keep us below
normal with highs in the upper 40s and
a few lower 50s. Mainly cloudy skies
and a few showers will continue Monday
through Wednesday of next week with a
warming trend, as highs return to the

gas) per year. Thats the weight of 2
full size elephants.

generate over a pound of CO2
Desktop Computer generates just under a
half a pound of CO2
Your 500 watt home Security system
0.69 lbs CO2
And get this, cooke dinner in your oven
for one hour and you've put nearly 7

their Season come to an end last night
with a loss to Ole Miss in the N-I-T
Quarterfinals.
Tech fell one win short of
getting a trip to New York City. The
Hokies though did not fall short of
expectations, as they won 21 games with
a roster loaded with underclassmen.
That leads to high expectations
