State Police say a man was headed
east when his car left the road and
flipped.
Rescuers had to use the jaws of
life to pull the driver out of his car.
The man was airlifted to
Lynchburg General Hospital, where his

closed for about 20 minutes.

Mary's Wilderness area has scorched
nearly 3-thousand acres.

the fire in Augusta County.
Nearly 27-hundred acres have
burned since Tuesday afternoon.
Today, V-DOT closed a section of
Route 56, between Route 608 to the Blue
Ridge Parkway.
More than 120 firefigthers are
working this fire from the ground and
the air.
At this point about 20 percent of
the fire is contained.
The cause is still not known.

taking it back to where Nascar has it's
roots.
Junior Johnson was at the A-B-C
Store signing autographs on his latest
LEGAL Moonshine, Junior Johnson's
Midnight Moon. Legend has it that
Junior was one of the best Moonshine
runners in his day and that translated
into being a heckuva Race Car Driver on
the weekends when Nascar Began Racing.
Johnson later become a successful Team
Owner as well.
