still slowing down traffic on
Interstate 81 in Botetourt County.

side is still blocked after a tractor
trailer struck the bridge about five
miles north of Troutville.
The impact knocked two wheels off
the trailer and an undetermined amount
of diesel fuel spilled on the road.
The driver was not injured.
A VDOT spokesman says the bridge did
not suffer any structural damage.
Motorists should expect delays while
that is being done.

Community College says a man grabbed
her in a women's restroom on campus
last week.
The details of her story have
prompted police to issue another
campus-wide alert.

The student says the man came out of a
stall and grabbed her from behind.
She told police she head-butted
the attacker, turned around, kneed him

several other students, past an

In Henry County, deputies are still
looking for a juvenile wanted for a
murder-robbery about two weeks ago in
Martinsville.
Seventeen-year-old Christopher
Lee Wharton of Danville, also known as
Fifty Wharton and Little Fifty, is
wanted on criminal charges that include
first degree murder and robbery.
Authorities are also looking for
another man who they believe drove the
car during the crime.
Two other teenagers have already
been arrested.

pressure moves in today. This will
bring at least one day of sunshine.
Despite the sunshine, highs will
actually be a touch cooler, topping out
in the low 60s. A cold air wedge,
similar to the one this past weekend,
will begin to develop Wednesday night.
Easterly low-level moisture and cold
air in place may mean light rain and
even some sleet Wednesday night and
Thursday morning. Highs will only reach
the low 40s. With a front lingering
near, scattered rain is likely on
Friday with highs in the mid 60s.
Saturday also features a 50% chance of
showers as a front passes through.
Drier air begins to arrive behind the
front Sunday. This means clearing skies

1972, Petty Enterprises is in need of a
sponsor.
General Mills, the main sponsor
of the number 43 Dodge, is leaving
Petty after this season and heading to
Richard Childress racing.
Childress is starting a fourth
team in 2009 with the number 33 on the
side of the car.
There also has been speculation
that Petty would lose driver Bobby
Labonte, but Petty Enterprises says it
is close to locking up Labonte in a
lifetime contract.

of Virginia's all-time scoring leader,
will have a chance to strut his stuff
against the best players in the nation
later this month in Portsmouth.

This Season Williams has accepted an
:00 invitation to play in the prestigious
Portsmouth Invitational.
That is the nation's oldest amateur
basketball tournament that showcases
future professional players.
The tournament will be held April 9th
-12th at Churchland High School.
It's the only tournament for college
seniors to participate in and be
evaluated by both NBA and European
scouts prior to the NBA's pre-draft
camp in Orlando.
Williams led the NCAA in scoring
again this season throwing in 28 points
a game for the Keydets.

arrival of a rare newborn lion cub..

The seven-week-old Indian lion is
being treated like the "prince" of the
zoo.. because he's the first male cub
born there in eight years.
He was given the name "Raja"--
deriving from the Hindi word for
"King".
Two cubs were born-- but the sibling
died after the birth.
Raja has been nurtured by the
zookeeper...and is getting bigger every
day.
