A series of Tornadoes hit several
Iowa counties yesterday, leaving many
people homeless.

His most recent report concluded
"The Commissioner's office invests very

City Auditor is due to go back, but
Holland won't let him in.

tax returns were identified last
November, business license inspections
have fallen to an average of three a
month.

Carrabba's, an Italian restaurant with
more than 200 stores across the
country. The Valley View store opened
at the end of 2006.
Carrabba's has not paid any
personal property tax for 2007. Our
estimate is that would account for
$15,000 or more in lost revenue to the
city.

for murder has ended in Mexico.
Cesar Laurean is accused of killing
a fellow marine, who was pregnant-- and
had accused him of rape.
Now authorities in North Carolina
are doing all they can to bring him
back to the U-S to face charges.

A three month manhunt has ended quietly
in Mexico. U.S. Marine Corporal Cesar
Laurean...wanted in the killing of a
pregnant fellow Marine.....was found
wandering the streets of a small town.
he's charged with first degree murder
in the death of Lance Corporal Maria
Lauterbach who had accused him of
rape.
Mexican police were carrying out an
anti-kidnapping operation when they
stopped Laurean because he looked
suspicious. He appeared thin and told
authorties he had been sleeping in
fields and eating avocados to survive.

the FBI had been tracking Laurean, but
the agency says his arrest was due to
the diligence and dedication of the
Mexican government.
In January, Lauterbach's burned remains
and those of her unborn child were
found buried in Laurean's back yard
near north carolina's Camp Lejune.
authorites have not revealed the
paternity of the child.
before Laurean fled... police say
he left a note for his wife...denying
murder, but admitting to burying
Lautherbach's body.
Mexico refuses to extradite anyone who
might face execution....so local
prosecutors have already agreed not to
seek the death penalty.
But if the 21 year old decides to
fight extradition, it could be a year
or
more before he is brought back to the
U-S.

enjoy pleasant, spring weather!
Highs head toward the mid and upper 70s
this afternoon with increasing clouds.
Expect south winds at 10-15mph. A few
afternoon showers are possible. Friday
night will feature plenty of clouds and
a chance of showers, however, most of
these will probably stay just over the
state line in West Virginia. Lows will
be mild, near 60.
The front crossing Virginia Saturday,
with mostly cloudy skies in the
morning, and partly sunny conditions
during the afternoon. There's a slight
chance of a few showers early Saturday,
but rain amounts will be on the low
side. Highs are forecast in the mid and
upper 60s. The front will be east of us
Saturday evening, and that night will
be much cooler with lows in the low and
mid 40s.
It looks like we'll see more clouds
than sunshine Sunday, and western
hometowns especially may see a 20%
chance of a light rain or snow shower.
Temperatures will only manage the mid
50s. 30s are forecast Sunday night -
bundle up!
Monday is still a little questionable
as far as how much sunshine that we'll
actually see. Right now, we'll call for
a sloppy "variably cloudy" sky (partly
to mostly cloudy), and perhaps a 20%
chance of a light shower or sprinkle.
The rest of the week looks simple...
Tuesday through Friday call for sunny
conditions and warmer temperatures!
Highs Tuesday will likely still be in
the 50s, but 60s return Wednesday, and
70s Thursday and Friday.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Possible
